Christians need to study history. You can’t use the words ‘King’ and ‘Pharaoh’ interchangeably. There are several distinctions between a Pharaoh and a King, but the main difference between the two is that a Pharaoh is connected with the divine in such a way that he is virtually recognized as a god himself, while a King is generally recognised as a mortal man who rules over a given territory. The other main difference is that in the old kingdom, all rulers were labelled as Kings, whereas, in the new kingdom, the word Pharoah was introduced and adopted which lead to the title of King being abolished. During the time of Joseph (old kingdom) there was the King of egypt. During the time of Moses (new kingdom) there was a Pharoah. The Quran accurately labels the rulers according to their time period because thats how they were addressed. This is how we can verify the validity and truthfulness in the Quran. On the other hand, the bible fails to make the distinction and is therefore incorrect which means that it cannot be the true word of god, as god is free from imperfections and he is indeed all-knowing. I'm the Middle Kingdom and Old kingdoms, along with the periods in between, they did not use pharaoh for the Egyptian rulers. Joseph's story took place during the middle kingdom, so they called their ruler a king. Moses' story took place during the New Kingdom, which is when they were using pharaoh.

There were three major periods in ancient Egyptian history: The Old Kingdom, The Middle Kingdom, and The New Kingdom. Throughout The Old Kingdom and The Middle Kingdom they did not use pharaoh to mean their ruler. They called their ruler a king. Joseph's story took place during The Middle Kingdom, so what would they have called the ruler? They would have called him a king. During The New Kingdom, which is when Moses' story took place, is when they started to use pharaoh to mean ruler of Egypt. So the Quran correctly refers to the ruler of Egypt during Joseph's time as a king and correctly refers to the ruler of Moses' time as a pharaoh. I hope this clarifies.

Do you know why God sort a confrontation with the rulership of Egypt?? Abram went to Egypt and God protected him there. God told Issac not to go to Egypt. God promised Abram that his descendants will go to Egypt; where they will become slaves , but that they will leave Egypt rich. Joseph went to Egypt and God protected him there and made him successful. God told Jacob not to have any fear about going to Egypt; and he went. These people (descendants of Abram/Abraham) increased in Egypt. God was able to identify them when other people of the world could not. To base your whole life on the teachings of just one book is limiting your knowledge, and thereby, wisdom. We read and learn from many educational books through school to become successful functional adults. Why would we not read and learn from many religious books to become successful spiritual adults? Every religion has something to teach and learn from. All religions encourage the same virtues and oppose the vices. Therefore to live a virtuous life, live by those universal virtues and seek wisdom from all religious books for guidance. There are many paths to being a good and virtuous person. Do what works best for you. We all our individuals with different capacities, therefore, it makes sense that different approaches would work better for different people. I think the people who come out to debate are too concerned with group identity and have narrow perspectives on people and life. Inevitably, this creates the ego and further enables it as we see often is the case in this videos. Debating is trying to win an argument, which is a function of the ego. Educating is enlightening others, which is a function of love. The only pursuit should be to educate and learn from one another, not convince why one person is right and the other is wrong. If you both believe in virtues of loyalty, fidelity, honesty, respect, etc. and oppose the vices of lust, gluttony, etc. Understandably, some are better at being virtuous than others, however, this isn't a competition. We all have different life experiences, and all we're trying to do is to live a happy life, and want the same for our loved ones. If you focus on those values and those pursuits, debate is unnecessary and only hinders true spiritual growth. That's my opinion.
