Li Xinguang is a senior high school student. He had been a sensible and well-behaved boy since he was little. His parents and his teachers were very fond of him. While going to middle school, he became infatuated with internet computer games. He would frequently skip classes in order to go to the internet café. His parents did their utmost to help him break his gaming addiction. Unfortunately, Li Xinguang's addiction became worse and worse. He became dispirited and slowly changed into a troublesome boy. … When Li Xinguang's parents felt that they were at their wit's end, they heard that God is capable of saving people, helping them break their gaming addiction and break free from Satan's corruption. As a result, they decided to believe in God and looked forward to God saving their son. From God's words, they understood the source of mankind's corruption and depravity. They saw the truth of man's darkness and evil and they understood that only God can save people and set them free from Satan's corruption and affliction. All Xinguang had to do was to believe in God and understand the truth, and he would be able to break his gaming addiction. As a result, they spread the gospel to Xinguang and guided Xinguang to read God's words. They prayed to God and asked Him to save their son and help him break his gaming addiction. … After a fight, Xinguang started praying to God and relying on God. Under the guidance of God's words, he eventually broke his gaming addiction and freed himself from Satan's corruption and affliction. This son who had been hopelessly lost in internet games and internet cafés finally came home!

This is a excellent movie. I have had several addictions like cigarette smoking, drinking alcohol, and using using my cell phone constantly. With the Word of God and joining a local Christian Church, over time I gradually quit my addictions. It took a while to overcome it and it was worth it. It does not have to be gaming addiction, there are other addictions that you can quit with the help of God. I now have a cell phone that accepts talk and text only. I am an 51 year old American who is free from addictions. Praise God!!

Wow! I can see that playing video games is bad.. I can’t believe some people today are still playing video games, and not even thinking it’s wrong!! It’s so crazy to believe that video games or any kind of games that leads you away from God, is not good for you!! It seems always normal to our naked eye but until we get exposed by the truth we can see how our big our corruption is!! Video games can definitely have a negative effect on a human. Really though, it depends on your perspective. If a person believes in God, then life should be for God, for then seeking to know, love, revere, and obey God is the most profound thing a person such as this can do, and anything outside of this, is empty and meaningless. If a person doesn't believe in God, then their disposition is consistent with theories of evolution, the big bang, and so on. In which case, nothing really matters. So, video games aren't really that bad from that sort of mindset. But then neither are drugs or anything else, really. From this disposition, morality is vague, and purpose is unfound, as well as meaning of life. I have a personal experience with video games that I have wrote about, and I can say they are harmful. My psyche, my disposition, my temperament, were all negatively impacted by them. What effect is achieved from video games? What is the result? It has been proven video games interact with the psyche and induce states of pyschosis or other trance like states which have harmful effects on the brain. For me, I became anti social and would try to merge reality with video games. I got on edge and irritable when I wasn't playing, and all I wanted was to throw my life away for video games. They became my life, and damaged my relationships with my family and more importantly, with God. God didn't create man to be "entertained", why can't you accept that? The meaning of life is not to spend one's life pursuing fame and personal gain, then filling the voids of boredom with video games, or whatever else. These forms of "entertainment" do not bring us closer to God, that's a fact. Man doesn't know why he exists, man doesn't have the answers to life's mysteries, so what? We just let our lives pass by instead of taking advantage of this rare opportunity to come to know and personally experience God's sovereignity?

I’m not Christian, but I still follow a religion. Let me say my part here I started to play video games when I was a kid. And now, as a much older person, I still admire them. I still play video games but I do not equate myself to any evil when I play them. I worship god. I always have, and I always will. No video game has ever removed that love from my heart. Man was forgiven of sins, and this was the salvation work completed by Jesus on the cross. 2,000 years later, mankind is still corrupt, we are still sinners. Though we were forgiven, we were not changed, and so we require further salvation.

This is my personal experience, and the fact that video games can make people addicted, which is only one small part, can they be said to be good? The Game Grumps acknowledge that video games are a waste of time. So, it depends on what your priorities are. Video games at the very least are a distraction, at the most they're an addiction, either way, the inherent nature of games is something that seperates people from God. People defend and try to justify video games, especially me when I used to play, because of the sentimental attachment to the storyline and characters. This is evil, they play on our emotions and give us sentiments towards them to the point where we care about and cherish them. This is not good, and in fact, it's evil and caused a lot of problems in my life personally. I'm thankful to God I was able to break away from that. Here are the things we know come from Satan 1. Violence 2. Porn 3. Love for money 4. Idol worship 5. Adultry 6. Prostitution 7. Gambling 8. Addiction 9. Degeneracy 10. Ego 11. Pursuit of fame and gain So, you tell me. Are these things that obviously come from Satan, come from an evil, are they in video games? So, can we conclude that video games are evil by nature and essence? If video games are good, then why can't people stop then? I have some personal experience with this. I used to play video games for most of my childhood and even as a young adult. They became my life, and I ate and drank video games. It was all I did, it became an addiction and I couldn't stop, even to the point of watching others play them on KZbin like Markiplier and Game Grumps. I remember, even the Game Grumps admitted that playing video games is a waste of time- and I know they joke a lot but in that particular moment, they were having a serious discussion. I agree with the analysis, and even though I loved being "immersed" in the world of Half-Life, and held fast to The Legend of Zelda as my all time favorite game, I had to admit that they do seem to be a waste of time, wasting one's life away in imagination land instead of living in reality. For me, video games were a "coping mechanism", because I didn't have many friends in school and was bullied a lot. Even once I got out of school, I still felt like a misfit in society and couldn't keep a job. I just wanted to waste all of time and life playing video games, that's what I wanted to do during every waking moment of my life. Even when I wasn't playing them, I was thinking about playing them. It was what I looked forward to. I've had to go through a lot in my life, from having to file for disability because I couldn't keep a job, to losing the woman I loved that I was supposed to marry, to finally realize that video games are a distraction from life and were actually the cause of a lot of my problems. They seperated me from God, and made it hard for me to believe in God, because all I believed in was video games. After realizing all this, I finally broke the addiction and came to my senses. So, you tell me. Does having your life ruined just to live in a fantasy world sound like something positive? I've got to experience so much of the real world and have experienced being "immersed" in actual nature. The real planet earth that God created for us, and it's much more peaceful, joyful, serene and more beautiful then any video game. Video games by very essence, are in the same category as drugs. The results "achieved" from playing video games is similar to that of drug and alcohol abuse, this is a fact that most gamers will agree with silently, because that's the truth of the matter. Do you want to defend and justify addiction? There are even video game rehab treatment facilities. Why should we defend this when it's clearly causing negative effects? Even the Game Grumps will acknowledge that video games are bad, so maybe it's time to wake up. This movie was absolutely excellent, and this review is childish at best. That's what I think, hope everyone takes this issue seriously instead of blowing it off and dismissing it as nothing like some edgey teenager that doesn't take anything seriously. Like a poor soul that's in a state of psychosis- like a drug induced coma, a walking corpse with no life within him that thinks it's cool to be ignorant.

That's the thing God should be our escape what makes us happy many things may not be harmful naturally but spiritualy suppresses us distracting us keeping us asleep until we awake in hell I don't allow video games in my home there allowed only when going out for special occasions where there's an arcade like chucky cheese or six flags but not at home.

If you fail or fall God will never leave you nor forsake you because His mercies never fail, they are new every morning. We purpose in our hearts to succeed but we are human & we fail. Thanks be to God He says though the righteous fall 7 times they will never be cast down . You are right to say if we open the door AGAIN to the devil then we stepped out of His most perfect will but not His grace. What are your thoughts?
