Speaking of OLIVIA. We last saw her - presumably setting out to work in America - seemingly fall unconscious into a huge hole which was then filled with earth of concrete. But... the crazy bit is that no one on this series - not her cousin Olli, not her aunt Charlie - ever thought of her again, ever wondered how she was making out in the US, ever noticed that nothing at all was heard from her. Or - maybe she didn't fall in the hole really and they all chat to her on Skype every week?

I actually worked as a booker for a model agency so I do know what I am talking about. No fashion company large or small not catering to plus size women would have a brassy blonde with muffin tops modelling a new line. Companies pick models to be the same height and shape so it doesn't look odd when they're on the runway together. Also to say that plus size models make as much money as the skinnier ones is nonsense. Why do you think a plus size model like Sophie Dahl ended up losing weight?

Loved the entire morning scene, with Andi grumping, and lovey-dovey Chrolli. But is Daniel getting a crush on Jessica? That would be really dumb writing. We've been there, you know. Can you believe I watched the entire session without realizing that girl was Rebecca? Also, thanks for posting ALL of it. And the world needs Daniel to get a crush on Olli. The Helena/Daniel/Jessica is starting to get boring. We've been there already, thank you.

I agree with all your comments, but with regards to Helena, I'm wondering how she couldn't know. He's being so obvious about it. and when Helena kisses him while he's watching jessica walk the catwalk, such an obvious "he's mine" jealousy move.

Yes, it's unrealistic along with many other things in the show. But it's refreshing to see the way this show conceptualizes beauty. In American soaps, the actors look like cookie-cutter images of beauty whereas the women (and men) in VL have more of a natural beauty. Jessica's size is not the issue...it's her insecurity and clumsiness that detract from her beauty. You're right that Jana's body is not a runway model figure, but I think she is very sexy and most guys would prefer her body.

It would be refreshing if VL was actually trying to break new ground but all they are doing is forcing characters to fit whatever plot they've come up with. So it wouldn't matter what Jessica looked like they'd still have her walk the runway, the way they have Christian sleeping with women even though he insists that he is gay or the ultra femme Rebecca turning butch overnight because she's now a lesbian.

This here is an entertainment and we should just have fun! I was just joking about people saying that one is hotter than the other. I was not criticising! loved those little moments between Chrolli at the table, first Ollis cheek kiss and later Christians, who wants his man all for himself (yes Christian in bathing shorts you are normally half-naked) ;-) those bathing suits are really not "wet fantasy", to normal, but Olli looks really good for Jessy, I like, that she has a normal figure, but her posing is a little bit too much and not model-like thanks girls :)

I have to say that in nowhere in this universe would Jessica get anywhere near a runway with that figure and those looks and I'm not saying that to be bitchy I'm just stating facts.To make it worse the other model was ultra tall and slim which made Jessica look even more out of place and did no one actually show her how to walk a runway properly? It's about as laughable as her suddenly turning out to be illiterate when in previous episodes she can be seen reading and writing without any problem.

Yeah, Chrolli's gotten really PG lately, at most! I mean where's the passion, they act more like friends half the time! And that display of a second's worth of jealousy was hardly worth noting! I mean I know it can't be passion all the time, and they can't always be attached to eachother's lips! But a little more love between them wouldn't hurt! Sometimes they hardly act like they are together at all! I never really see them hanging out together alone anymore! It's always with a group!

You presented your opinion as fact with no evidence to back it up, yet according to you the fact of Sophie Dahl losing weight is not empirical evidence. If you want evidence go read the 'ugly business of the modelling industry' and when you're done with that read 'thing of beauty' and then decide if you still believe plus size models can make as much money as the skinny ones. And if you are happy to accept the 'reality' of VL why bother to respond to my opinion about RL?
