I've head of a few colleague in the industry lost their jobs, if not their professional reputation, for the "no-harm-intended" fun behaviors of young adults who did not take the time to think what their actions would impact others. Also, what's bizarre is that this is ALL we get on this series. People are always falling for or "getting involved" with people who are either their relatives or partners (also ex-partners) of relatives. Yes, it happens in real life - but rarely. In real life people tend to gravitate towards sex partners where there are no confusing degrees of family intimacy to get in the way - instead, they go for people they meet at work, or friends of friends, or contacts made through Internet etc.

I get your point about the unseemly pairing of lovers. However as they may be, they are adults and consenting, not that they deserve ouraprroval. Ahyway, what's worse than these unusual romantic pairings is the issue of Olli's silly scarves which is much more bothersome In order of what could be taken as most repellant here are those scarves that he consistantly accessorizes his wardrobe with beat out anything else for first place!

Hahaha.. this it definitely not a weird thing in my country. It's a pretty common thing here. Though we actually try to avoid having relationships between cousins, but if anyone have any then we are not much bothered at all, as long as it's not your own brother/sister, half brother/sister or step brother/sister!!! Otherwise you are free to have a relationship with anyone you want !!! ....... pretty weird for you guys!!

I agree that a drama should push the boundaries but a brother and sister committing incest and then being seen to go off happily together into the sunset is in my opinion going a step too far even for a soap. No matter what the genre, drama only works if it contains some element that we can connect to, i.e. some grounding in reality. While it's no big stretch to imagine we might be attracted to someone the same sex, it's a heck of leap to falling for your sibling and running away with them.

That wasn't Christians fault , but Dustin being jealous and caniving. Although Josie should have left the stamp by the till on the back bench or even under the counter. I can imagine Olli will blame Christian anyway.

There's forbidden and then there's forbidden. I'm all for affairs but I find it hard to root for characters committing incest and to me that covers first cousins because there's too much shared genetic material. Also how are we supposed to view Marlena, who'll probably end up having slept with three siblings, with admiration, or scorn? It's all just coming off as a desperate attempt by the programme makers to drum up interest but judging by the ratings it ain't working.

@sabinasabina2010 i disagree,every line should be crossed,but on A TV SHOW,NOT in REAL LIFE!For ex. in my country 2 people of the same sex kissing would be considered a line you do not cross,even in a show whose main theme is to show forbidden love, so even though i disagree with relatives behaving that way, yes i would be disgusted probably, i dont think the show has crossed a line

Jan and Julia fell in love back then but did not sleep together. They ended up going their separate ways because they knew their feelings were wrong. Fast forward to the present and VL suffering low ratings and Jan and Julia turn up, have sex and run off together even though no viewers could possibly applaud their actions unless of course incest is acceptable in Germany which I know it isn't.

Sorry I have to disagree with you. I do not approve that kind of relationships but I understand them. I wouldnt have a relationship with a first cousin, but saying that that's creppy actually is not. We have to remember a couple of things, 1st that the royalty during more than 400 years had relationships with people who were only family, n 2nd this kind of relationships were the rule for a long time as a foundation for the civilization, still is weird i know...
