In the bible that we have today there are verses where Prophet Jesus prophecies the coming of Prophet Muhammad, The Greek word is Paracletos (Comforter) which is a corruption of the Greek word Periklytos which means The much praised, (In arabic ahmad), an exact Greek translation of the aramaic term or name Mawhamana. 61:6. And when Jesus son of Mary said: O Children of Israel! Lo! I am the messenger of God unto you, confirming that which was before me in the Torah, and bringing good tidings of a messenger who cometh after me, whose name is The much praised (ahmad). Yet when he hath come unto them with clear proofs, they say: This is mere magic.

The first time when I was trying to read the bible I already asked. Who was the author? Because it was in narrative style. Who wa this Mathew? What was his link or connection to Jesus (peace be upon him). So many questions in my head. Because if we learnt Science of Hadith, we have to know the authenticity level of every sentence. The number of narrations. The time of narrations. The chain of narrators and the characters of every narrator.

@Sandra Watkins The ISIS, this Boko Haram group and many others that harms innocent lives arent Muslims simply because they do not adhere to the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH) and the Quran. For us Muslims, they are guidelines to follow when it comes to war and the basic of basics of that rule is not to harm innocent life (especially those who have nothing to do with the war) and house of worship (and those who seek refuge in it even soldiers) must never be harm, etc. Simply put, if a group claimed to be Muslims but kill/harm innocent life then 100% they are not Muslims.

@Sandra Watkins We all believe in the Torah and the Injeel, however, the Bible (the one you have today) is not the Torah and the Injeel because the contents has been corrupted/changed by man. The reason why the Quran is preserved is because it is one of the miracles of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). And it seems you are hardset on what you believe to be Islam. My advice is, if you are in San Diego, go to Balboa Park and ask the Sheikh your questions and if you're somewhere else, go to the nearest masjid and ask someone there. Don't worry, we don't blow up and contrary to popular belief, we don't actually have straps of dynamite sticks around our bodies.
