I think this song was originally done by Stryper.

Great song. Stryper has been around since the early to mid 1980s. Ironically, it was a non believer who gave me their album "To Hell with the Devil". He gave me the lyrics first, which really impressed me by their use of scripture in their songs. Also, they had scripture references for their songs as well. At concerts, they gave the salvation message and threw Bibles out into the crowd. I went to two of their concerts. They are still rocking and standing strong.

I highly recommend seeing Unsung Hero, great movie and not cheesy at all. I'm the same way with Lecrae, I used to listen to him a lot but haven't been keeping up with him recently, good to see him rapping biblical lyrics again though. I'm not familiar with a lot of Stryper's older songs but I would recommend their more recent songs Blood From Above and Yahweh, love both of those. If no one has recommended the metal band Fit For A King, they are very heavy but do have a few songs I think you'd like with less screaming: When Everything Means Nothing, Locked (Inside My Head), The Louder Voice, Falling From The Sky, and Reaching Out. God bless you brother!

The scene with the stripper is from the movie, featuring Luke playing the stripper. Luke is the younger, thinner singer, while Joel is the other one. Additionally, Luke is taller than Joel.

Unsung Hero is absolutely fantastic, and fun fact, Stryper was Joel and Luke's favorite band growing up, so I bet remixing this song was a blast for them.

I remember when this came out in the 80's. I was in 4th grade at a Christian school, and our teacher told us it was demonic, and faking Christianity- basically called it a wolf in sheep's clothing, and that we shouldn't listen to Stryper. I heard a lot of that with Christian rock songs back then. I wonder what she would think of this version nearly 40 years later.

Stryper is the band that my oldest son was hooked on when he was a teen. 😀 Let's see...Jim was born on February 26, 1970. He was almost 14 when he fell in love with Stryper. That was in 1983, when David and I married. I could listen to Lecrae forever! 😀 Thank you VERY much for this reaction, Matt and Tricia! LOVED THIS SONG!

Saw the movie. You must go see it! FK&C made an "Inspired by" album to go with the movie. So they have songs from the 90s made new with their FK&C flare.

You missed the Micheal Sweet guitar solo at the end in the real song. You did the movie promo. Stryper is legit. Gotta check them out. From 1986 to 2022 still putting out absolute fire albums

I really don’t like rap… there’s no point in it for me. Nothing wrong with the lyrics here, just the delivery.
