He's one of the best contemporary trumpet players. I don't think he's underrated; he's certainly well-known and well-respected by the jazz community all over the world. If you like the trumpet, try Roy Hargrove, Paolo Fresu, Enrico Rava, Nils Petter Molvaer, and (of course) Chet Baker. Enjoy!

Quickly becoming one of my favorite ensembles. Love the way they have the guitar sounding through the amp. It's not so over the top with distortion that it sounds like hendrix playing Purple Haze, but it's just fuzzy enough that it doesn't sound like a sine wave. Sometimes jazz guitar sounds a little too clean, not raw enough. Perfect balance here. Do they have an album or record out I wonder?
@nolan5009 жыл бұрын
+Robert DeVries This band has many albums out and the ones I've heard so far are just superb! I would recommend Yesterday You Said Tomorrow, it's a fantastic album!

I, too, am interested in what effects he was using to get such a sweet Rhodes sound. Some folks out there think you can get it out of the Boss GT-100, but I think we need to get a word to the man himself....

So a world renowned trumpet player, sax player, drummer, and guitar player are going to ride with a terrible bass player? According to some of these comments, that would be the case. Some of you are just crazy, and just can’t shut it and listen to the awesomeness.

The groove was hot, talented group of fellas. But even though some may view it as just a title of the score. Christ's church is in the wild for that is who He came to save, sinners in the wild. He came for the rebellious law breakers who are lost without hope in this wild world of distraction and illusion. Read the Gospel of John and look to the Savior of sinners.

@h.j.w27838 жыл бұрын
I thought he was fine, not mixed very well in this particular video but that's nothing to do with him. Why did you think he was horrible?
@Johnleflexible8 жыл бұрын
+Dr. H too much notes for me, don't play with the drummer. When i look at this video I can't take my eyes of the bassplayer and say to myself "omg are you really serious, who do you want to impress ?" :)
@h.j.w27838 жыл бұрын
I agree to a certain degree, definitely too many notes, also the tone is pretty horrible. It's hard to give a definitive opinion when its so overpowering in the mix. Their new bassist is far more suitable within this formation, still a great performance!
@VermylionMusic7 жыл бұрын
Take that whitebread shit somewhere else or come to America and get some musical taste and understanding and branch out from your trite, inbred scene. He was locked in with the drummer with everything he played and it fits the genre of music perfectly, especially since there isn't a piano player. If your criticism is "too many notes," it's a good indication you have no fucking idea what's going on.
