They won’t sign Walker at this point. Reason being is they had to give up their 2nd and 5th draft picks to sign Fried. If they sign Walker they give up two more picks out of there top 6 draft picks. I don’t see them doing it. I see a Bellinger deal for instead. They’ve given up too many prospects to get Soto last year and few other signings so the system isn’t great. So they’d only have 2 picks in the first six rounds of the draft by signing Walker. Cashman isn’t that dumb

They won’t sign Walker. They gave up their 2nd and 5th picks in upcoming draft to get Fried. So by signing Walker they have to give up 2 more picks in the first six rounds leaving them with two picks in the first six rounds. System is struggling so I don’t see them doing it. Bellinger is more likely at this point in a trade

Walker would be a bad signing. He is a 250 hitter that hits about 25 Home runs per year. That means he’s going one for four every day with a home run every five or six games. For the kind of money he’s going to ask for, he isn’t going to be worth it. Not to mention we don’t need anymore 250 hitters he doesn’t fit the team at all. He’s not at all what we need in a hitter
