Too difficult on Lebron James's body chasing athletic Small Forwards on defense

Taurean Prince shot 39.6% for 3-pointers off 4.6 attempts for the Lakers despite the narrative depicted in this video.

@@deandrepage1048 thats also the problem lebron cant play smallforward anymore. thats why they need rui as back up four he is better when playing the bench though

@christianguliman8385 Well to be truthful with you it was Coach Ham who demoted Hachimura from the Small Forward position to Power Forward before the 2023-24 season started. All because of Hachimura's poor athleticism and foot speed on defense against Small Forwards. You saw it on display during the 1st Round of the Playoffs against Michael Porter Jr.

@christianguliman8385 J.J. Redick is an Offense 1st Mentality head coach, his #1 Priority is whoever can make his Playbook X's & O's 3-point shots after moving without the ball around Pindown Screens, so Hachimura will remain on the 1st Unit because Austin Reaves is not qualified.

With the Dallas Mavericks 6'9 Center Christian Wood shot 37.6% for 3-pointers off 4.2 attempts per game. Not in the deep corners though. Gotta let Christian Wood shoot from the wingspots & Top of Key.

Darvin Ham so loved the 3 Guard line up when he was supposed to be more successful on AD Wood tall line up
@deandrepage10482 ай бұрын
Lakers GM screwed his head coach over, didn't replace Malik Beasley or Lonnie Walker IV with a 6'5 Defense 1st Mentality veteran 2-Guard. Coach Ham refused to accept 3rd year Austin Reaves and 2nd year Max Christie as his 2-Guard depth chart.

Wood was amazing in his times and sucks he was left out there so much on his own with rui so it made him look worse defensively. Everytime him and Ad played, it was great

Wood need more minutes or put him in starting line up cause he can start with Davis and space floor but does need to work on his def

It’s Hilarious,honestly, I’d rather watch Christian Wood launch threes than see any Laker not named LeBron or D’Angelo Russell take a 3pt shot. Sure, Rui Hachimura might boast a fancier shooting percentage, but have you seen that shot? It’s flatter than a pancake after a Sunday brunch! Now, Wood has got potential-a dazzling over 37% from beyond the arc last season. If he’s managed to beef up by ten pounds of muscle, he could be a three-point machine. We might even start calling him “Shooting Timber”! Defensively, if he can sprinkle a bit of consistency on his game, he could go from being a role player to the Lakers’ secret weapon. I mean, the guy has already shown he can drop over 20 points a game like it’s going out of style. With a bit of polish and some solid development, he could turn into the surprise star of the season. Who knows? We might just have to start crafting a few MVP chants for him! Doobie Hayes

Unfortunately, we won't be seeing Wood at the start of the season. He has done surgery and will need some time to recover to full fitness. I think we won't be seeing Vando at the start as well. That has to be a good sign in an 82 grueling stretch for the Lakers instead of missing them when we need them most (play-in & playoffs).
