I really think wood can play a big role if he stays healthy. Hes almost the perfect big to play next to AD. He allowed them time play big while not giving up spacing. He’s like a more offensively skilled miles turner.

If we could have started Rui to replace vando, hamm should have started Wood instead of Rui. Dlo, Austin, Lebron, Wood, AD. I really believe this could work. Id would take my chances defending against teams w 2 dynamic wings. Is not like rui as a starter was stopping anyone. Id rather that all star guard shoot over the outstretched arms of wood..or lebron. Plus hes so much more on offense and helps w our rebounding. Hamm used him wrong.

It’s amusing, but I'd actually prefer to see Christian Wood shooting threes over any Laker not named LeBron or D’Angelo Russell. Sure, Rui Hachimura might have a higher shooting percentage, but his shot looks flat and has a low arc. Wood has shown promise as a three-point shooter, knocking down over 37% of his attempts last season. If he has improved his endurance and packed on an extra 10 pounds of muscle, that could elevate his game even more. Defensively, if he improves his consistency, he could really thrive. After all, he’s proven he can average over 20 points per game in this league. With the right development, he could be a key player for the Lakers this season, rather than just a role player!
