Hi Christian from Day 3,587 into our 7 day lockdown. I love rock 'n roll.... but not when my left hand plays it! Right hand ....yay yay yippee whoppee yah. Left hand .... retarded 😣 Not enough strength with thumb and fourth and thumb and fifth sound plinky plonk. I've never had the hand strength to keep it up. I can get away with a bar..stop and then let the right hand play a sax or trumpet in my right, then repeat lol. I can manage triplets in left, but shuffle beat is my curse. Will still look at right hand and use it somewhere in my music, so still things to be taken out of this lesson. Thanks once again 😙
@ChristianFuchsBlues3 жыл бұрын
I think both ways are fine: Pick what you can use for your other music. But also, fingers can be strengthened! But then again, the very occasional Rock n Roll playing is impracticable. Cause if you then don't do it for 3 weeks or so, the speed and flow will be gone. Some can preserve a level over weeks, some not. I am rather the latter type. If I don't do speed for a while I have to work my way back up...
@amusical123 жыл бұрын
@@ChristianFuchsBlues Yes, thank you. I don't play enough of rock 'n roll to do it daily like I play other music on the piano. But I still love it.... Just need to find it when I find it. I just get too mad at myself lol. (Not kidding ha) But r 'n r is waiting in the wings for me... maybe the next lifetime for rock and roll and this time for my own music 😊 But I'll endeavour to practice this a bit each day and see how it goes.....again. Strengthened fingers here I come 👍🎶🎹

I did not upload the backing track separately. There are many backing tracks on KZbin, if you look around a little. And it does not have to be an exact Rock n Roll beat with the sounds I used. . Just something similar.

Hi Christian, I come across your channel for the first time. Very nice. I have a strange question for you. I play piano for a few years. I'm more of a nostalgic player type. I would really love to learn to play rock n roll like you do or more rythmic Elton John. I wonder if you have some tricks to help my brain separate both my hands. Even after all those years, I can't make my left play some rythtm while my right playing other thing off beat. I don't know if my brain is wired differently then most music player lol but god it bug the hell out of me! Any tips? thank you and stay safe!

I am a musician 65 years, violin, guitar, keyboards, professional working, wanted to learn some r n r piano, but this is way too complicated and you are going much too fast. You don't even say what key you are in! Some of us are not good at theory. I have discalculia, I just couldn't follow this.
