Yet another one of Christian's blues video lessons that was followed, completely by automatic reflex, my purchase of the sheet music.

And, as we know from the doctor's visits: The reflexes are so important!

@@ChristianFuchsBlues Belgium, in a town called Chaumont-Gistoux. I visited Berlin once to cross the "border" and visit the communist side of the wall. I still shudder at the thought of the atmosphere on that side.

I love all these motifs and I've studied them all and can play them all now. But I'm still struggling to put together a whole 12bar tune! I think I'm just being a bit thick, or I haven't practised them enough to be able to fit the pieces together. My main problem seems to be that there are several 2-bar ideas which could be repeated or put together, but then the run up/down to the IV chord starts in bar4 of the pattern and runs into bar5, which means you need 3 bars (1,2,3) to start the pattern, then the run (4,5). Maybe I'm expecting too much of myself to be creative yet after only a couple of weeks, hehehehe! I'll keep trying. An example of a complete tune would be handy though as a starting point... 🙂 UPDATE - Oh, I just found the previous 10 lessons in the Easy Blues course, HAHAHAHA, looks like I have a bit of work to do following those before I can improvise with these chunks. Right, I'll be back to this one in about a year then 😂

Great Stuff. Keep it going. Charles was my Regimental Colonel. He's a really nice man. Had a terrible childhood. Think about it. One O level in history. Well, it his family history. Taught the cello. Enough said. But Elvis, with the greatest guitar players for teachers, never got to play 3 chords in a row. Come on! give the bloke a break.

Well, they say, the better you sing the fewer chords you have to know. I know hundreds of chords.
