Min 1:30.. A thought and question: 1) since the new religion xtianity espouses passivity- turning the other cheek, loving one's neighbor learned from Judaism, etc - wasnt it politically advantageous for Rome to adapt this new religion and spread it throughout their colonies in order to keep their conquered populations quiet, to pacify them..? The Romans already had the Roman Legions to do their work of colonization - ie 'living by the sword' as Esav-Edom, but keeping the masses quiet was something they weren't as good at, which xtianity advanced...2) on the other hand, Mohamed needed to create an army, to pull together the beduin tribes and getting them to cooperate and conquer under his banner.... Mohammed's religion also emphasizes 'living by the sword', ie the children of Yishmael- as well as submission... Both faces are needed to conquer and control the masses. The political expedience these 2 ideologies create in colonization and crowd control is obvious.

I appreciate hearing about the Talmud and the horrid things I have heard were in it. But, I have to also remind you that Jews also persecuted the Church, in conjunction with Romans/Greeks and in Islamic lands (so I've heard from Coptic Orthodox). The Immaculate Conception refers to God's preserving the Blessed Virgin Mary from all stain, even the stain of concupiscence.

I think this Rabbi should separate Israelites from Jews. He keeps calling Israelites Jews, though Jews are Israelites, majority of Israelite were never Jewish. He keeps calling people from the Tanakh "JEWS" when it's completely impossible for them to be so.
@ziggydeath9397

The term "Yehudiim" was what other nations called the Israelites; in exile, after the destruction of the First Temple and while in the Persian kingdom that spanned 127 countries, the exiled Israelites (mostly from tribes of Yehudah, Levi, and Benyamin) were called "Yehudiim" or "Judeans" (people from the tribe Judah). Since it was professed and known in 127 countries, this universal term stuck and since then Israelites call themselves Jews, not knowing from what tribe they come. Understand?
@beholdason1814
@beholdason1814 7 жыл бұрын
Sorry, you should probably check the Bible and secular historians. The term JEW didn't exist until the civil war in Israel. The Northern Kingdom belonging to Joseph kept the name ISRAEL and the southern kingdom became JUDEA. The Tribes of Benjamin, and parts of Simeon were absorbed into this Kingdom, and as the Levites were expelled from Israel, they all fled to Judea. Abraham wasn't a Jew, Isaac wasn't a Jew, Israel wasn't a Jew, Joseph wasn't a Jew, Moses wasn't a Jew, Sameul wasn't a Jew, Deborah, Gideon, Joshua, Samson etc.... Not even King David or his line is pure Jewish, as his mother side comes from Ephraim and Moab, so according to Jewish law today King David wasn't Jewish. All Jews might be Israelites, but majority of Israelites were never Jewish. A Jew is someone born of Judah, and after the civil war and the destruction of the temple, the term Jew become known as anyone from Judea, however the Israelites living in Judea still separated themselves according to tribes. Majority of Israelites were scattered around the world fulfilling God's promise to Abraham, which was passed to JOSEPH or the Northern Kingdom of Israel, not Judah or the southern Kingdom of Judea. Israel and Judea were enemies for the most part... but these Rabbi's have done a great job brainwashing everyone into thinking the Bible is totally about Jews, when only maybe 5% or 10% of the people in it are Jewish.

Behold A Son Do I have to repeat myself for you to get it? They did not start anything. King Achashverosh did - remember? The emperor of the Persian empire which spanned 127 countries. In the edict that was sent to all 127 countries, the term to refer to the prior Israelites was Yehudiim "Jews". Now would you still refer to yourself as a "such and such" if everyone else in the entire region called you by a different name?
@beholdason1814
@beholdason1814 7 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's fine. I understood what you said.. But do not call JOSEPH a Jew, it's misleading. Just because the Persians started calling people from JUDEA JEWS, doesn't make everyone in the Bible a Jew. Majority of Israelites are not Jewish and never were. Call them what they are. The fact that Jews have even stolen the name ISRAEL baffles me, they have no right to this name. They are Jews, and Israel should be renamed to JUDEA, as it was before.
@ziggydeath9397
@ziggydeath9397 7 жыл бұрын
Stolen the name Israel? Any of the 12 tribes, including Levi, Joseph, Manasseh, and Ephraim can use Israel as their name because that is their common ancestor. Israel called even his grandsons - the last two I mentioned - sons and that is why they are included in the 12, while Levi and Joseph are not. It is also a way to distinguish between the 3 parts of the nation, Israel, Levi, and Kohen. They each have unique legal obligations and roles. You seem to be caught up on the Israel/Judah distinction prior to the destruction of the First Temple when there were two kings ruling two territories. And, you seem to be claiming that true kingship went to Israel (to the leaders of Ephraim). You also seem to talk as if you were from that tribe and you are jealous.

@bzipoli
@bzipoli 2 ай бұрын
wait a minute. there is no fighting and insanity, as far as i'm aware this is a theological discussion. it's not within the jewish doctrine to persecute people for believing in other things. or even denying them paradise. as long as they're righteous people - they can believe whatever they want (the same doesn't work for the other ones). imo it's okay for whatever religious people to discuss theological questions, as long as it's civil and doesn't end up in what.... ended up happening (and still does happens) what it did throughout history (to jews in christianity, or to jews and christians in some islamic countries nowadays)
