This is by far the most useful thing I´ve seen of the Mega Pointe so far. Haven´t yet seen or used one in real life. You and Adam actually go through the features in a way that makes sense to a pro, unlike most manufacturers' own demos that are usually just made to look pretty. Thank you!
@brianpayne57737 жыл бұрын
I like your opinion. You seem very fair and honest. I was never really married to one "brand" I think they all have a different style and application. I think this is true for even the cheap fixtures. It's the wisdom of the user that makes the fixture "good." You rock. I left the industry a few years back. I am sure I will return in 20 or 30 years. In the mean time I am glad to watch your channel and keep up with the changes.

I saw the mega pointe at plasa last year I think personally this fixture is a game changer in the lighting industry , I've worked with the colorspot 700s,1200s, 2500s and the BMFLs and I would not hesitate using the mega pointes in any event I do due to having the traditional robe reliability, great video

I wish SOOOOO badly the company I work for would move away from Jands Vista and into MA. On top of that, as cool as Chauvet's lights are getting I wish we would get into more brands. We sort of gauge our production sector on our install/sales sector where we won't stock what we don't sell. The region I'm in, the majority of our customers are churches... churches on budgets. I miss living in TX and working for a certain large touring company. This boutique AV company get me down some times. Anyway, enough complaining... Love that you're still making videos. I hope nothing but success for you, man!

So blatant and beautiful that is about dimensional and your lighting desks are top notch .. I love it so hot ... Absolute respect and hats off 💯% you are the only one I have so much pleasure experiencing myself. Christian Jackson The MegaPointe has more output like the Axiom? Wow, didn't expect this, cause they have more or less the Same Lamp. I had the Chance to use them next to some Vipers and Aura. Is realy impressive, how mich output These new "beam/hybrid" fixtures have. And, i think Martin is are doing mostly very Kind of "simplistic" fixtures. How many of the effects are realy usable at the "every Day" festival/Show? I hope you understand, what i mean. Btw. are you coming in the future to Germany?

Really don't know why Robe are wasting time on this. The Spider is the direction that they should be going and developing that.
@christianjackson7 жыл бұрын
+Ceri Nicholls not sure what you mean. They are entirely different types.
@Cerifwrdd7 жыл бұрын
Well, I guess this fixture only really serves one purpose. The spiider can cover what this fixture does plus a ton of other things. Discharge bubbles are a thing of the past, they are hot, volatile, expensive and not controllable. I thought robe had moved on many years ago from the "disco light" market.
@williamdiven68677 жыл бұрын
Sorry but the spiider is more of a "disco light" than the MegaPointe! You don't seem to understand that these are two totally different types of fixtures. Spiider is an LED Wash that has the added benefit of the 60W Center LED that can be used as a powerful beam and throw some eyecandy in there with the flower effect (and obviously pixelmapping), but that's about it - don't see much difference to a B-Eye for example. Saying Robe is wasting time with this fixture is not understanding that Megapointe is basically a Pointe 2.0 with all the improvements people in the industry have asked for since the Pointe was released and making it even more versatile than the original. Also LED fixtures still are not as bright as discharge fixtures. They are slowly getting there (and I love our Solaspot 1000s) but it's still gonna be a while before they can replace discharge fixtures. We just had a shoot out between CP Scenius Unico, CP Axcor, HES Solaframe 2k, Varilite VLZ, Robe BMFL Blade and the two discharge fixtures were a good 20-30% brighter! And if you do shows inside a venue the size of NRG Stadium those 20% make a difference!
@Cerifwrdd7 жыл бұрын
HAAAAAAA OK. It's not just a "wash light" at all.
@guillaumelalonde79456 жыл бұрын
@@Cerifwrdd The MegaPointe can be a Beam, spot and wash fixture all in one, whilst the Spiider is basically just the B-eye.
