So I have a question. Following along on my new MA2 lite and whenever you label something you just start typing after selecting what you want to label. When I try that it just starts typing in the command line and does not bring up the label popup menu. Am I missing something or do you have a macro or is there a setting to enable that function?

I personally would like to see how the groups are handled changed. Personally I think the work flow would be better if they added a hidden groups 2 pool that stores and organizes different grid layouts for your group that you would be able to page through. So think like how you can page down to the subfixtures when you select a group only instead it links to different fixture layouts so you can program different things from one pool object in groups . I think it would be much better then trying to wrangle more and more groups as you want to add effects.

Accidently found a selecting "feature": 1. select a group 2. press highlight 3. normal pressing next/preview selects one after the other 4. BUT pressing "Set" AND "Next" selects each 2nd... 5. pressing "Set" and "Next" again, selects each 3rd and so forth 🙂 Hopefully a total noob, could have shown Christian Jackson a hidden gem ;-)

I knew that starting with the "chauvet obey 40" and wiring/fader manually would give me a good base to understand everything out in front of me for the future. Thanks for this... even if it is 5 years old.

There are many GrandMA (lighting consoles) here in Manila, but Cebu is really far from Manila, and we still need to ship them by plane. The setup for the Cebu event is very different compared to Manila suppliers, and they somewhat lack equipment.
