A high school student is trying to find time to read his Bible but constantly gets distracted so he goes to talk to his Youth Pastor about the problem.

Amen. And thank you. I recently dusted off my old KJV, which is the only physical Bible that I own, and I read it rather than listening to the NASB my preferred translation on a device. The Lord has responded in a way that is so tangible and powerful that I have been awe-stricken🙌🏾✝️🙇🏾‍♂️.

@@Just_a_Reflection Hi, try reading the Bible from the Original Aramaic it was written in. Rev. Glenn David Bauscher translated and provides notes on it and confirmations from the DSS etc. It is the 1st Century Aramaic Bible in plain English. Now that is a real in-depth game changer. We always use Bible Hub as well to cross check all other versions and parallels. It has really enriched our studies and brought us more in line with what Father and Jesus are speaking to us.

So many people contact me, asking for a "word from God" because they say they "can't hear Him speak to them". Man, this just grieves my heart. When I ask them about their dedicated time with Him, they admit that they really never spend solitude time just listening to Him, talking with Him, worshipping Him, or prayerfully studying His Word. They set their lives up to be constantly inundated by distractions and interruptions. They do it to themselves. Television, video games, radios, computers, social media, and the worst of all, cellphones --- are keeping us from living lives of beautiful, powerful intimacy with God. And the saddest part is that we are the ones who have control over that.

Even after over 40 years of reading my Bible....yep the enemy still hasn't stopped trying to distract me from spending time with my precious Jesus.... Yep phone goes off..and also out of site... My time with Jesus....is Amazing!!!! Nothing can beat being in His presence...He rewards you for taking the time to seek Him... Hebrews 11:6.

No one under 18 should have a smart phone. When you give you a kid one, you basically give them not only a highly addictive thing (that even the creator of it Steve Jobs wouldn't give to his kids), but you are giving them 24/7 access to porn.

Good job in the creation of the short movie “” distracted”. It happens to all of us. We have to be intentional about getting the word of God and prayer time in. for as long as I have been trying to make that a priority, I still have challenges with it. I have to get it for a day and the next day I fall back. Of course I think it should be a daily thing as is our natural food. the enemy knows that is our weapon of warfare, so, of course every chance he gets he is going to try and distract us and make other things seem more important, when in all actuality it is not. Our word is a matter of life and death, I have believed, in every sense of the word. So we have to fight every day to make it my first choice.

This is so good!!! Amazing job Luke!! The acting and script were perfect. This has been my struggle for a very long time and I'm 48. The phone is one of our greater distractions, idols, and even addictions of today. And its sad because all i truly want is Jesus!!! Father help us to put the phone away to spend time with you

Much to be said when a young man can sum it all up in short film. What if Jesus is calling and we’re not hearing Him? We are to concerned with the cares of this world. In the Last Days many will fall away I.E. due to the cares of this world. I’m sure this is what God sees from His throne. Whatever the distraction; Lord take away all the distractions that I May focus on You and Your Word. We must be diligent there will be no excuse on that great day of the Lord.

You don't have to take a shower if your clean in a clean home unless had an accident in bed. You have ac & not doung excersise or perspiring, etc unless you have a bad body issue or large person with issues or body odor problems plus if a thinner person with one as well. Americans do this shower thing. Idu why. Yeah it wakes you up refreshes, but i dont always need that if shower at night before eating dinner. You get durty sweaty day time & shower take off shows at door & clothes in bedroom to the laundry basket. Take robe or towel covered to bathroom. Go straight to room & get dressed pjs. Gee how hard is that ?! He can put a sign in his room & tell everyone by txt he's busy studying the word & he's shutting cell off & putting in othet room. Also, put sign on the door he can resuse & lock the door. Ask people to not make noise or be loud. Fast from stuff. That's silly. He was disrespectful to the youth pastor he was just answering the cell infrint of him laughing. I would have been getting mad rage come up. Felt dizzed. Ugh. 😩 Too distracted. Not funny.

Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of eternal life to all who trust Him alone for salvation. Jesus only offers eternal life. If it is a SHORT FILM or rather an ill-scripted video don't call it a FULL MOVIE. It is pretty deceitful and off to a bad start. When you try to catch fish don't throw the weight at it and then the bait. This means the start of the movie makes zero sense because the viewers are not eased into it without context. Nor does the BIBLE READING VERSE line up with the soldier jumping out of the closet and whatever follows thereafter. It seems like there has been no planning of scenes or perspective critique before shooting all of which adds up to the likes and dislikes of the video/short film.
