I would explain this dominance via statistical likelihood given the regions and countries the UFC is popular in. The most dominant MMA countries on record are the USA and Brazil, both Christian Majority countries, and that dominance builds up a sort of social and physical infrstructure throughout the country over time and ensures more champions. On the other hand Paganism is quite rare globally, so the fact that there's even ONE Pagan UFC champ is actually quite impressive. Aside from Russia (Caucasus mountain region specifically) there are no countries that have large Muslim populations that have a history/social infrastructure for MMA, so that's not too surprising. And as for East Asia (largely religiously indifferent by Abrahamic standards), that market is almost exclusively the domain of ONE FC. In other words, I would expect Christians to dominate the UFC at this point.

In regards to islam once being considered a Christian heracy, from my understanding this idea was larglely founded on the islamic claim that the rabbinic jews and christians could use their scipture to confirm the validity of the quran. I just meant that Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies so no prophet has come since Him and never will.
