The reason Jesus said "Why do you call me good" is because He wanted to see if the man could retrace why he calls Jesus "good" when God alone is good. JESUS is God. He forgave sins of the people He healed and preached to, and yet had many witnesses claiming the same thing, reporting the findings to the Pharisees. That's why they plotted to KILL Jesus.
