Christians in Ungodly Relationships | Sometimes you have to let go

I remember the moment when God opened my eyes to the spiritual darkness in a particular situation. It was so shocking to me and unveiled so much that I had never seen before after many years of being in that situation. The people involved had professed to be Christians for years. The Lord showed me that they honored Him with their lips but their heart was far from Him. Just because someone is a part of your family does not mean they should be a part of your life. Hello Sisters, Thank you for sharing this topic! I have been struggling with this for years with my siblings, spouse, and a few friends. I have cut ties with most friends that are not Christian or say they are and not act like it. I am slowly cutting ties with my last non Christian couple. He admits he's not Christian, but she says she's a Christian but her actions says way otherwise. If you could help me pray for them. Their initials are J & L. Lots of turmoil going on there. The grace we have by abiding in Christ enables us to walk in holiness, led by the Spirit and not by the flesh. Sadly, many Christians set themselves low expectations about the ability to live a godly life. There are preachers who encourage that pessimism. Hi, Anselman! Amen! Sometimes you have to take drastic steps to walk in holiness. Jesus gave us an interesting example, but with a different subject, " If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell". (Matthew 5:29-30) One might have to do what we were forced to do and sever contact with those who were dragging us down with them. Thanks for watching and for your encouragement. God bless!

Boy I've been through similar situations many times. It has to be said-profession does not necessarily equal possession-of salvation. The ones that are most hard to detect are professing Christians-yet something in your spirit says "something is just off". Or the holiday meetups with catholic family members-sometimes tense. At least they can't escape prayers, after deciding to not cast pearls before swine. Even a friend who I thought could *possibly* be saved, who I just ran into a few months ago after 10 years of silence; I have concerns about. He is avoiding me like the plague, and I have that "something is just off" feeling. So, I'm not pursuing texting or calling him-it's up to God to convict him if needed. I've already texted and sometimes don't get a response. Yes, those "megachurches"-escaped those LONG ago, yet still can't find a halfway normal church so I gave up trying for the time being. Don't even get me started on the phone problem!!!! It's everywhere. I agree with Valentine 100 million percent about breaking ties with those who profess Christianity yet don't show any evidence-sorry can't hang out with you and it's for my own good, and yours. Pray for these people when you think about it. I understand it's rough, believe me. I'm alone but not alone. Blessings to you!

Hi Dave! Thanks for watching and commenting about your own experiences with ungodly people in your life! When it comes to ungodly family, it is truly a miracle that some of us actually got saved. For instance, my parents are into New Age thinking, and my sibling is an Athiest. So, I ask what’s so special about me that I am a Christian? Why not the rest of my family? Well, I can still pray for their salvation. But, I have cut ties….God bless you!✝️

@@martina5923 It is only the grace of God that He saves any of us-when I think back on my own BC life, and even some of it after; I'm amazed He has even bothered with me because certainly I don't deserve mercy. When I really think about it, it humbles me and drives me to repentance daily. I sure hope God saves ALL our loved ones! Blessings to you.

Bible plainly states "....we will know them by their fruits". My ex-husband claimed to be a great Chrsitian, went to church all the time, worked the soup kitchens, taught singles adult men, witness to people in the streets, and ooohhhh he could quote that scripture like it was his own name.......BUT, he had the heart and mind of a serial killer!! My mother said it is like he did not have any human blood in his veins. BUT, he put up a GREAT act. The pastor loved him. And Christians who do NOT discern other people need to check their spirits themselves.

That sounds scary! I’ve heard of people like that who led seemingly double lives. So likable and loving, but in another situation acted just the opposite. Your story would make a scary book or movie! Thank God he got you out of that situation! Take care and God bless!

Ashley, I'll combine this reply with the other two you put in our community post for topic requests. The subject of issues with in-laws can be very difficult. It's bearable when the issue is with you or your husband, but it can get very touchy when it involves your kids (not sure how many you have). You would like to sever ties, but he doesn't feel led to do so. This can create a LOT of tension in the marriage. Watch out for the foxes. Email us if you want to. Ungodly relations in God are the ones who fell on the path, where the word is sown. As soon as the people hear it, satan came to take away the word of God that has sown in them. Other seed that sown in the rocky places, they hear the word of God at once they receive with joy. But since they have no root, they last only a short time in living with God. When troubles and persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. Still other seeds that sown among thorns! Are the peoples that hear the word of God. But their worries that comes in their life's, the deceitfulness of wealth and their desires for other things come in and Choke them from the word of God that making them unfruitful. The seeds that sown on the good soil, hears the word of God and accept it, and the produce a crops----- thirty, sixty or a hundred times what they have sown, are the true childrens of God, who really loves God. And alway keep on obeying unto his will and in his commands. Amen. ❤. God bless and always stay safe in God's protection on this world, on earth. ❤. Khrowbok, hi, right, one of the important questions to ask is if they were Christians to begin with. Did their seed get snatched up or choked out by weeds. It's especially hard for us if it's family that are living ungodly lives. Take care and God bless!

What, shall i say, and how that I can explained about this matter. When a rose live by its thorns, and has been surrounded too, by it. In the word of God on the Bible has said, a man sowed the seeds on his field. While everyone is sleeping, his enemy come and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and form ears, then the wheat also appeared. The owner servant came to him and said, 'sir, didn't you sow the seed in your field? Where them the weed come from?" An enemy did this, 'he replied. "The servant asked him, "Do you want to pulled them up?" "No, ' he answered, ' while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it to my bran.' '' So, now when God pull out the ungodly people on earth, the godly people too, will get hurts. So, let us be strong with hearts courageous, in God. I was married to preacher with theology degrees. He don't believe in God is coming to judge us anymore. He turned his back on God. He don't exalt the name of the Lord. He prefer this world and took the snake potions. I run away now from the you tube channels who voted for the devils. Their trust is in these devils and these people will let you take a pill. Don't take the new pill for the new desease.
