I am a Catholic who has recently discovered Coptic Orthodoxy. I just want to say that I am amazed by how holy your priests and Monks are. Coptic Orthodoxy has all the humility that EO lacks. The teachings of the dessert Fathers are without comparison. I will try to visit a Coptic Church as soon as I get a chance. Much love brothers and sisters 🙏🙏🙏.

Strangely enough this video repeatedly played a second time by itself although I've already watched it a few hours ago. Normally YT never allow this. But I was so happy to listen again because I was so thirsty for this message. Thank you Fr. Father Lazarus. May God bless you for many years and keep on praying for us as the world needs prayers🙏

It is refreshing to see and hear a monk with a strong understanding and practices of Christians values in its purity and originality. It is much needed in a time where even powerful politician that claim to be Catholic are corrupted to the core and have not interest to live their Christian faith in order to benefit their countrymen/women....instead the different flavours of ice cream has become their inspiration in life and their God.

Brainwashing makes Mother Mary pregnant at her Nazareth wedding - less sleazy? Is that why the residents of Nazareth tried to throw Jesus Christ the Notorious Local Bastard off a cliff and also stone his notorious mommy - Hairy Mary? The Jews created Moses and Jehovah in 950 BCE. If you checked Bible facts, you would be vastly less gullible, Rube.

Why did Fr Lazarus become a Coptic monk when he was already baptised in the Serbian Orthodox Church and then was tonsured a monk as Father Gregory in the Serbian Orthodox Church and lived in Serbian monasteries in Australia and Serbia and also for a time on holy Mount Athos at the monastery of Philotheou which was under the spiritual eldership of Father Ephraim, disciple of St Joseph the Hesychast???

I think the darkness for me is that it's all just rubbish. You sit gazing at an image of Mary or you learn the "truth" and it's as real as science fiction or anything else. And you can substitute any form of life: Islam, making art, being a sculptor with a path in life. But he's maybe saying something different: that even those are all kind of games and facing yourself is the ultimate test. I think zen Buddhism is probably unique in saying or denying the importance of the canon, the monks, nuns, all the names, history of the past, in that religion. It seems to be saying all that is preliminary until you move onto the harder stuff. Then again I think the literal things are also believed as in Christianity. For example that the Buddha could do the miraculous, could see all his past and future rebirths and so on. It's quite interesting that in a very peculiar, tantric form of Hinduism the yogis, sadhus live in grave yards, smear themselves in the ash of dead bodies and other practices (I shan't mention here). The idea, as they see it, is that ideas of good and bad, evil not evil are dualistic, they are not reality, the ultimate reality. So they aim to go beyond those distinctions (dangerous if you don't know what you are doing). It's a huge question if some form of evil, actually exists outside the human mind, as an objective reality, part of reality. Father Lazarus seems to suggest it does and doesn't. Respect him for raising that subject which is at the heart of all religions.
