Fr. Lazarus the Serbian monastery you speak of is in Melbourne Elaine. I knew the girl that died on that stretch of the road you talked about. My own father is buried there in that same cemetery. It is a beautiful monastery that if you have never been you should visit. It is so tranquil away in the country so you get that sense of isolation from the worlds distraction. I love my orthodox faith, more than anything in this world.

As a child I would go to The Serbian Orthodox Monastery St Sava in Elaine quite often when Monk Gregory was there (now known as Lazarus El Anthony) with my father as we used to help deliver fire wood for the monastery most Saturdays in the winter, in the early 90s. As a child I was amazed to meet a monk that could speak in English. Finally the Serbs in Australia had a English speaking Monk! Monk Gregory was a gentlemen and we always used to have lengthy chats. I cried as a child when he had left the Serbian monastery but i understood why. I am blessed till this day to have known him. Fr Lazarus El Anthony had given me his monastic prayer rope and a collection of the lives of saints in English and a few other items. He is always in my prayers and may the Lord remember you father in his kingdom, now and for ever and until the ages of ages. The Serbian Bishop that Monk Lazarus El Anthony is referring to is Vladika Luka who is currently the Bishop for the Western European diocese. He to was a great Bishop. The čudotvorna ikona of Bogorodica that Fr Lazarus El Anthony refers to is still at the monastery which people are more than welcome to venerate and pray to. If you do go to the Serbian Monastery please bring some olive oil for the hanging vigil lamps for the Mother of God. Let that be a sacrifice to the Mother of God from your hands.

Virgin mary is the same in every non evangelical church. But no other church praises mother of God like the coptic oriental church. If you are catholic and claim that you only pray for saint Mary then you’re whole faith is wrong. You pray for her son and should do so more than you do to her because her son is the one worthy of all the praise and she would be happy knowing you’re praying for her son more than knowing you pray for her. Don’t get me wrong though.. Saint mary deserves praise because she is the mother of light.

I would find it difficult on my own finding God without the prayers and support of my brothers and sisters in the faith. In the same way without the saints who are already with God pray and support us. Yes you can find God on your own but I know I can't without the prayers and support of those in the faith but alive or already in Heaven.

We do bow down to God yes yes, but remember he sent his Son to us to redeem us, as well as a perfect Mother spotless. Remember Eve turned away from God she slipped as our earthly Mother also slips. Mary was spotless and a Mother who covers us in her mantle of love and her prayers. A heavenly Mother, she would have to be spotless as she held our Lord in her womb.

It's called reverence and deep respect. Beside he didn't know if he was worshiping or not. He was merely mimicking at that point. But his reward for being open and follow the lead and determination to be free from sadness God rewarded him with great favour in him His own Mother.

Wow, I feel sorry for the loss of your mother Fr. Lazarus. But I am even more saddened by your loss of touch with reality. Dilution is very hard to resist, it is easy to see what we want when we want. People from all faiths have the same stories where their worldly problems are somehow solved by some supernatural being or persona. However, because of all the things we now know about the human brain it is painfully clear that all such testimony is illusory. Unfortunately this is one of our many faults as humans and it is a struggle to overcome it. If we truly want to rise above the our human condition we need to be diligent in wedding ourselves solely to the truth which is rooted in reality and not the imagination. This story could have just as easily been about Mohammed appearing to a fatherless child turned adult looking for a father figure, but it wouldn't make the story any more true. As beautiful as it is, it is only that, beautiful not real. Peace and love to you father.

But i think your message was probably directed towards the viewers any way. there are many mysteries in this world, i hope that you wont stop short of what you have learned from modern psychology and science. did you happen to watch the videos that preceded this one? father lazarus was a well educated atheist, he knows all about the illusions and pains of the human brain. Most of us westerners know of those illusions. what we don't know about is the heart. You may be convinced that there is nothing more in this world than material, so why not consider what father lazarus has said as truth? does everything need to be perfectly explained to be truth? don't close your self off to something because of skepticism, that is one of our many faults as humans and it is a struggle to overcome it.
