Christie and Zuri Elephant Update!

On this #FeelGoodFriday, we have a trunkful of appreciation for our amazing guests who help support the care of the animal residents, including the Zoo’s nine elephants! A few months ago, we welcomed Christie and Zuri to the herd, and we wanted to share a video update on this mother-daughter duo that transferred from Hogle Zoo. The care specialists are skilled at training the animal residents to learn new behaviors that help them participate in medical check-ups. Some of the elephants’ favorite training reinforcement snacks include apples, carrots, sweet potatoes, and celery!
