Meet Jorge!

As National Zookeeper Week draws to a close, we send our sincerest thanks to the dedicated individuals who provide top-quality care to all of our animal residents! We know many of you are big Zumi fans, so let’s meet a member of the team that cares for the young eastern black rhino every day. Jorge is an animal care team lead who works with awe-inspiring species like the Masai giraffe, lion, caracal, and plains hoofstock. Jorge discussed some of the misconceptions about the zookeeping profession and provided insight into his day-to-day activities at the Zoo in this feature!
