To people complaining about the lyrics being sexual: she's basically implying that even though she finds the guy attractive she won't sleep with him right away and she won't settle for less than a relationship, he has to impress her for any of that. That is why she is saying "hormones racing at the speed of light, but that doesn't mean it's going to be the night" and "you're blowing kisses my way, but that doesn't mean I am gonna give it right away". I don't see how it is a bad message. If you only listen to the main part then yes, you can turn it into something purely sexual... but the song is not about that.

As a teen in the 90s, I adored her music, her voice, her attitude and stage presence. Now in 2022, as a grown up, I still look at these videos with the same awe . This was definitely a well written song, and she has such a unique voice that no other singers can replicate! Singers like Britney and Christina made the 1990s such a special time with their dedication in music .
