Unfortunately, we can't win the war. What can man do against such reckless hate...? Believe me, things can only get worse. I won't back it up with arguments because no one wants to listen anyway, nor do I want to cause others even more negative feelings (I'm past depression now but others aren't). It's just, imo, if we truly faced the facts we'd have more chances, but okay... Do protect your core, of course. I mean, I don't really wear heavy emotional armor and it has consequences, but it's how I found it's important to have some kind of balance even in that. Still mostly staring into the abyss tho (I mean the causes of our issues - forms of stupidity). Oh and never let the exploiters etc make you think you're guilty. Politicians in my country have made such statements and ppl parrot them and make it sound as if everyone is as greedy and corrupt and elitist like the "leaders", it's beyond ridiculous and disheartening to see even the few ppl who are truly good believe that. But the manipulation is off the charts nowadays... and ofc, the only ones who are able to accept criticism and responsibility, are the good ones😞 Seriously, the vicious cycle/dead end/downward spiral is real, and I hate it. But it affects me and I can't ignore it.

God I missed her, I decided to look her up again and noticed that the last video I saw by her was 3 years ago than 8 months ago she started posting, now it’s been 3 months and hasn’t. I feel like over the years amazing, talented singers are just blown over and forgotten about but I’ve never forgotten you! Seeing her now she’s changed so much I just checked her Instagram story and it’s like I could walk around and she’d walk right past, and me not even knowing it was her. It’s a sad thing but she still brightens my day when I hear her new or old songs, they sometimes make me want to cry either for the meaning of them or just to remind me of like 6 years ago when it’s all I’d listen to.

Christina Perri is so underrated, totally agree with some of the comments here. Growing up I was always a 90’s industrial/metalhead kid and then mellowed out a little in later high school and became enormously into late 90’s-2002 alternative and still am. I was convinced until 2021 that nothing good had come out since 2002 (when I graduated from high school). I wasn’t into the indie music scene at all and went to a college where that was the only “acceptable” music. Just basically stuck to my own old school 90’s stuff and 60’s and 70’s glam rock, etc…even some Christian rock and stuff…until 2021 when my boyfriend dedicated “A Thousand Years” to me and I saw how stunning the music video was. I very slowly started listening to her and especially watching her music videos and I am SO impressed. She’s hugely underrated as far as I’m concerned-I hear a lot of influences from Fiona Apple and especially Alanis Morissette (in who’s also put out some excellent stuff in the past 20 years!) I hear the gentler, less angry, recovery oriented Alanis in a few of Christina Perri’s songs, especially “I Believe”, and the fierce side in “Jar of Hearts”. I know I’m late to the game with Christina Perri, but good gosh this song is amazing and the video + the song is even better!! Christina, if you ever see this, you’re amazing, thank you for giving me faith in music again, and about this video, WOW! ❤️‍🩹
