That beekeepers name is Erika Thompson. Shes from Texas are works around Yall...Invite her in! Shes a cool lady! Yep, the voice is a bit on the annoying side, but hey, when youre dealing with 50,000- 100,000 bees at a time, its a good idea to keep calm and chill. I talk with my bees. Not sure how true it is, but supposedly talking to them regularly gets them used to you....but I can tell you from experience, there are times that they hive is just a bunch of nasty bitchy stinging bees!!! Theres usually a reason for them to not be friendly, so it takes a keen eye when dealing with them to know whether they are safe to be around without a suit....even with a suit, if a swarm comes after you, chances are, your getting stung. A few years ago, my bees found the tiniest of holes where the suit met my boot, and I got a bee suit full of bees- and theres not a damn thing you can do about it. Kill them, and the hive gets riled up. When they sting you, they release pheromones that bring everyone. You cant get out of your suit, because youre covered in bees. Ive had times where I couldnt get out of my suit for an hour because they wouldnt leave me alone.
