One of my favourite things about the Doctor Strange movie was his arc and not just the typical turning from a jerk to a good person, but taking on the whole responsibility of protecting the world. I mean all Strange wanted was the magic to fix his hand but he ended up fighting to protect the sanctums, which involved killing someone, which went against everything he believed in and then of course he can't truly be with Christine. I think this video shows how bittersweet their relationship is so excellent work as always.

@@ALCHEMYedits What an amazing edit, thank you very very much. Im going through sad shit right now and have replayed this video a good couple of times. As you were saying, it’s easy to empathise with what goes on on both of Tony’s and Strange’s arc. Love them both, but would go ahead and say that Steven Strange has an even deeper arc. Tony’s arc has him do something different from what he was doing, but sort of in the same line, and neither being CEO/chief inventor of his company nor being Iron Man is lame. All the while, Strange has lost everything, his existence is lame as fuck. After the accident he desperately keeps searching for solutions, because of how miserable his present life was. Almost not worth living according to his own standards. And lo and behold, opportunity arises for him to get his life back, obtaining everything he desired and the fulfilling of the very leitmotiv of this journey. It is now that he is offered something else. Something far more enduring and holy, but EXTREMELY less beneficial for his own self. What will he choose. And how sad/intense will the repercussions (inside and outside of his head) be It is now that we must see a man utterly torn from so many angles, that he doesn’t even get to keep the girl. Girl whom he loved to the core. Jesus, my hat’s off to this story Arigato ✊🏻

Their arc always makes me cry and this this is too damn good. Sometimes I think about how some heroes never wanted to save the world, never wanted to go about fighting and just wanted to live their lives but then when they get a choice to help they leave behind everything because this is bigger than them and those heroes are my favourites not those who crave violence. Stephen Strange could live life as a surgeon, Tony Stark could live it as an entrepreneur but do they? No, they fight because the fight needs to be fought not because they want to.

Call me biased but I've never felt any sort of admiration towards Steve Rogers because of his will to fight, rather I felt that he had this sort of mania to prove himself as something he simply isn't. He craved war and bloodshed. I mean when he talks about other people, who can't fight, collecting scrap metal in that disdainful way I find it insulting and demeaning. What had he been doing for his country at that point other than illegally trying to enlist and get into fistfights? And that's not even taking into account what he does in the twenty first century. I could go on forever but I guess you get the idea. I don't like Captain America who by the way isn't even a Captain of the Army. No man left behind huh? Sorry for that rant. One last thing: TeamIronManForever. I stand with Tony Stark.

Being the weirdo he is, 'I don't want you to go' is Stephen's way of saying 'I love you' while looking searchingly and soulfully in Christine's eyes, as he missed her almost every single day at Kamar-Taj so used to see her watch instead. Now she is right in front of him, so he let his tenderness overtake him, which btw he didn't know he had!

Oh wow, what a masterpiece! I love this, their relationship is so underrated and underappreciated. Even though Christine won't be in Dr. Strange 2, I hope she'll be in the third movie, if there even will be one.
