Every time you put out a video its like going back in time to Nana's house. The sights, the sounds, the style. It reminds me of the snuggly yet spooky feeling I would get while cuddled up with her on the couch and watching something scary on tv. She would be sewing something by hand, and she would always stick the pins in the arm of the chesterfield. Popop would fall asleep in his chair in front of the tv in his robe and slippers. What wonderful memories, thank you for that feeling.

But $3 - that's one less 1/2 gallon of gas, or one less herb in the garden, or one less apple a month. I can't tell you how worth it Christine's patreon is. Maybe this is morbid, but someday someone is going to inherit your original works (because I doubt you'll ever sell them!) Christine, Years ago, as I was walking around our block, I see in the trah, 2 old tall black Victorian style lamps.. Mostly Victorian lamp shades. I knew what I could do with them. I had a magazine that showes HOW to make the lampshades. Just what you are doing. It took me a while, but I ended up making the shades in an off creamy white, with lots of fringe. I spray painted the metal base lamps, and my husband rewired the two. They looked beautiful, and I had them in my Victorian livingroom for years. I was proud of what I did. I am so glad I pushed myself to learn something knew....Good luck, yours look beautiful.. Jan from SC

I love that she mention that she doesn't just jump straight to the project, she does a lot of trial and error practice before hand. I find that many creators create the illusion that they do everything perfectly for first time and easily. And whenever i try at home and fail it discouraged me to keep on going saying i don't have it in me. Been watching Christine for years she is truly magnificent 😊. I love the Victorian/Spooky style

Thank you. The thimble I use, named Ethyl for her previous owner, is a sterling silver one from around the turn of the last century. Vintage and antique thimbles are sized. Usually the size matches the ring size of your middle finger of your dominant hand. I started getting used to her by just wearing her randomly around the house. Your back! Hello! LOVE your content. Pro tip, when airbrushing smooth gradients, don’t go back and forth (stopping and reversing direction mid surface area), you wan to go clean and smooth solid strokes from outside the exposed area (off the page) to across the surface…to off the surface again. Big broad strokes.

I am sure your have been told a million times how amazing your artistry it but I want to draw attention to your camera man and how lucky you are to have such a partner, to capture the different angles while you work. He really knows how to film and I admire his work. My artistic eye caught on to the touches of red right away from the cardinal to your opening scene. And I knew full well that lamp shade was not made in one sitting one afternoon. But the color red throughout the video really was as you say "cohesive", also a nice contrast to the shades of brown with the project at hand. Great choice. With his skills and your artistry the two of you make an amazing team to create such beautiful and engaging videos. Bravo to you both.

It is fascinating to me how an artist can manifest an idea in their mind, and create it out into the world. I can sit here for two hours and think of a horse. But when I try and draw it , horse does not end up on the paper. So your abilities leave me speechless. Well, almost.
@tmtb80
@tmtb80 Жыл бұрын
There's a trick! Lots of artists would think : horse...then do many drawings, paintings, sculptures, etc that imply a horse, as opposed to trying to manifest a very specific rendering of the horse in their mind. So, make it more fun, maybe say "I'm gonna make 10 horses with no rules or expectations except enjoying the process." Also, find the products you really love, finger paint, clay, wire, dirt!! That makes everything better.
