Mahn I've read that scripture of the replacement of Judas so many times and I really enjoy reading Acts...but we skim over things so easily coz I didn't know most of the things we have been taught here. The Word is beautiful - it really will take you your whole life. Also, now I understand why a lot of preachers go to Israel 😂😂 Praise be to God...sheesh. I didn't know these perspectives.

I confess I am afraid to pray, "Do whatever it takes to make this country repent." When God judges nations, both believers and unbelievers feel the pain of it. It's not like we are completely sheltered. If the economy crashes, we ALL suffer. If the grid goes down, we ALL suffer. If civil unrest or war happen, we ALL suffer. If a (real) pandemic hits, we ALL suffer. It's already so hard to follow Christ in this miserable world. Doubly so in the hellhole that is Chicago. How can I keep holding on and following him... when I know horrible things may happen to me, as well? I'm trying to be faithful. I'm not saying I don't sin. Sure I do. I know I deserve anything coming to me. At the same time, there's an actual difference between those who are following Christ and those who hate him and are intentionally rebelling against him. Does this even make sense? I guess I'm just... tired.
