In this case one of the principals had the audio recording and shared. For USMC-related Vietnam War audio interviews, Marine Corps University and the USMC History Division there has a large catalog of interviews conducted on a number of topics, including some after action interviews, that are public domain. It is great seeing these Cat Killers and their back seaters after all these years. I worked with many of these guys as the TACP with Mike Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines in 1968. We were stationed on the DMZ at fire base Alpha 3, between Con Tien and Gio Linh. Without their support we would have been in big trouble. They did everything from controlling air strikes, artillery and naval gunfire to adjusting our hand grenade throws.
