I can’t imagine decorating twice, I would always decorate my kitchen for myself and the main living room the kids bedroom I would take them and let them pick out there decor and decorate and the family room was always more kid friendly that way my living room stayed elegant and kitchen and it worked for everyone.

I love that you are decorating for Christmas with color!! So many people are using “neutrals” and it doesn’t always look very festive. Love it! My tree decor is all black and white and my little girls dont like it..lol...so I did the same and gave them their own little tree with gingerbread decor

You could always do your bedroom neutral. Christmas is really for the children and should be magical. I know everyone has their preferences it's just a suggestion.
