Lovely video Charlotte and great ideas I’ve written them down as really wanting to start this with my sons (5 months and an almost 3 year old) as soon as they are old enough to understand. Was going to suggest a Christmas kitchen disco but also you could make Christmas masks or hats (but like Easter bonnets but Christmassy), do a Christmas jigsaw together, decorate a Christmas cake, camp out in the living room, paint some Christmas pebbles and leave them for other children to find, Christmas ice creams, Christmas treasure/scavenger hunt xx

We started doing this last year after seeing your videos as it encompasses alot of the items and things I would have put in the Xmas eve box and they are able to actually enjoy all the things throughout December rather than just one day! Love it!!!

Hi charlotte, I have followed your channel for years all the way from Australia 🇦🇺. Would like to share our Christmas tradition of making homemade gingerbread men. We do this every year with our 5 kids. Just using a packet mix and then the kids and any visitors get to have fun decorating from our cake supplies. Nothing is off limits and it’s so great to see their creativity. Also make lovely gifts for family. Merry Christmas and many happy memories Tara

Thank you, thank you! Great ideas! I'd add something like Christmas Jumper Day or the School Nativity Play or carols. Then you can add an accessory or something! Or you have Christmas ham day, either you host your family or just you 5.

I am like yourself and very crafty, so I have always done a homemade calendar for my son who is now 24, and he always says now remember the calendars you made. We had very similar things to yours, we did donate a can of pet food to the rescue centre, made a little box of smellies and donate to the homeless charity, make a family photo and give as magnets or keyrings to grandparents a woodland walk take hot chocolate and snacks, designing their own wrapping paper, (brown paper and xmas stamps) Love your videos and your ideas.

What great timing for me! Just got the kids to bed (1 and 3) and my partner is out with his friends from working for a meal and drinks so I’m sat here in my electric blanket snuggled up with a bowl of cereal and a cuppa 😂 can’t be arsed to cook for myself haha! Instead of christmas ham day, you could do party food picnic. My kids love it. They call it a floor picnic . Party food on a rug by the tree!

We do a similar thing to this - we have the elves (😫😆) but our elves aren’t watching their behaviour and reporting back, because I don’t like that idea. So our elves sometimes just do funny pranks in the house or they bring Christmas activities for us all to do. So one morning they might have set out all the ingredients for Christmas baking. Or they bring the Christmas bedding out and leave it in the kids rooms. Basically combining the activity advent calendar and elf on a shelf!

I took your suggestion about face masks, I think you showed them in your B&M video. A pamper evening would be a good idea, I've brought Christmas face masks and Christmas foot masks. I have two boys and a girl also called Daisy. My daughter loves pampering and having her nails and hair done.
