I.hope you are enjoying painting with your collection! We all end up collecting things. Just remember, I learned this lesson now at age 76. You can't take it with you and some don',t want or know what you collected. So, now I use what I have and enjoy what I have. I also give things away like my good jewelry to special people. That way they have a piece of me and the story to go with it.

Thank you! Yes, I do enjoy most of the items in this haul. I love most things I try, especially if they are artist grade. The markers were the only thing I don't find myself reaching for now. I do have to sell or donate supplies that don't work for me. If my space gets too cluttered, I can't create. That was very sweet of you! I'm sure your gifts with be treasured by your special people.

I collect schmincke too and will probably never use them all but love looking at them, I have one on the go its my favorite paint but Rosa has become a close 2nd. Ive tried to get that slim palette but they dont seem to have it in the UK!!!!

Thanks for sharing, Sue!! Haha, I try to make sure and rotate my sets so none are neglected. Yes, I feel the same way...they make me happy to see them! I enjoy Rosa Gallery, too. Last time I checked, Momarte had the best price for the Slim palette. It was 32 Euros. I hope that helps!! If they are sold out...Schmincke will most likely have a new limited edition palette coming that will be just as fun! 💗

I have heard that the Schmincke Akademie paints are almost the equal of their professional line of paints. Certainly they are not as expensive. I will keep an eye out for the gouache review. This was the first of your videos that I have watched. Have you reviewed any Sennelier paints. The ones that I have used are really nice and very transparent. They are really made to layer a lot.

In my opinion Schmincke Akademie watercolors are very nice, but do not perform as well as the Horadam line. They are the best student grade paint I've tried so far. The addition of ox gall in the professional Horadam line gives a lovely flow that makes them a dream to paint with, to me. But, art supplies are very personal preference. Thank you, I can't wait to try the gouache! I have shared Sennelier watercolors in my haul videos, this is where I share swatches and my first impressions. I really need to share a review! I really wanted to try many brands before reviewing any, so I could be more helpful and honest with my reviews. Sennelier are very lovely, especially for layering, and make it hard to overwork your painting. Please know you don't need any more paints if you like Sennelier. Trying more supplies is not necessary at all, and it won't improve your art...it's just fun! 💗

I wasn’t going to buy any watercolor paper until I had almost finished the blocks I have. However 😉, A-zon had Arches 9x12 inch cold pressed block for $30! I bought one. Price has gone up to $40. I’m not sure if A-zon has regular sales on Arches blocks or not, or if it was a one off. I don’t recall the other blocks being on sale, I think it was just the 9x12 inch block. I’m still going to finish the ones I already have before I open the Arches block. I should probably stop making rules I can’t keep!!! 🤣 One deal I kick myself for not grabbing was the Arches watercolor journal from Joann’s. It was on sale so put two in my cart. Joann’s then emailed me a coupon which lowered the price to $12.50 or $14.50. Shipping was $2.99. The next day I had decided to buy them and the price was up to full price! 🤯

I'm always nervous about having too much paper, since the sizing can go bad. But I think a few backup blocks are justified! Your rules, yours to break!! Lol! Oh, I did not see that deal! Sorry you missed that one. I love that watercolor journal, even though it seems so pricey for what it is. I would have grabbed a few for sure! 💗

A holder for chalk should be big enough to handle the NeoColor 2s and is chunky enough to be comfortable in the hand. I've seen them in both classroom supply and hardware stores.

If you find you aren't actually using all of these supplies, see if you can find a nursing home or lower income school where you can donate. I am sure students or the elderly would love to use these beautiful art materials.

Thank you for the suggestions! My daughter gets many of my supplies I don't reach for often enough. But, I have also donated to special needs programs many times. I used to work with special needs children and we always needed supplies. I think nursing homes would be a fantastic place to donate to, as well as domestic violence shelters. I find I use most of my artist grade supplies, but I do donate many of the budget supplies.
