I so appreciate your honesty in these videos! I totally agree that just because something is expensive, doesn’t mean you HAVE to like it. I find many expensive things to be too garish, overdone, or just plan tasteless. Harrod’s has very nice merchandise, but not all of it appeals to me either. Thanks for another great video! Hugs!

Compared to classic, gorgeous,, charming, splendid and beautiful and very well maintained and well stocked GUM Shopping Mall in Moscow located near Kremlin, Harrods appears to be antiquated dingy and most ordinary.

​@@sujoyghosh5880 last time I was there it felt a bit "démodé" indeed. Old carpet, old elevator, the bathrooms referring to the queen, the old wooden windows. It felt a bit like Trump tower, a bit eighties. It could use a bit of a facelift. But I love their food, stuffed animals and their modern toy floor where all the kids were playing. It is also too big to see everything so you keep want to go as a tourist every time you go to London. It has more soul than Selfridges. That was huge and full of expensive rags!

As a Belgian I see Harrods as a museum, you can look but you can't touch 😂 no but I love it, and I should shop more when I am there but those tiny trollies these days don't allow for much shopping do they. Years ago a young teacher friend of mine took her class to London and they visited Harrods, the only thing she could afford was a Harrods shopping bag. Was amazed when half the pupils pulled out Harrods Gold cards and went on a shopping spree courtesy of mama and papa #private school pupils. 😂

Prices were even more expensive than I imagined. Was really surprised that Hot Dogs were available & hard to believe - self checkout at Harrods! The window display is beautiful. Almost ten years ago as a family we spent 4 days in London to celebrate my 40th birthday. One morning we had coffee and a cake at the bar in the food court. My Mum almost had a heart-attack when we got the bill. I think £10 for a small sliver of cake was a bit too much to take for a Northerner of a certain age.

Speaking of Lady Dior, I just watched a documentary on KZbin and there’s currently a big scandal where Dior are exploiting workers in Italy. The bags cost €57 to make and they’re selling for €3500. Instead of making the bags in Asia/India they’re bring workers from China and Bangladesh to make the bags in Italy so they’re labelled as “Made in Italy”. They’re paying them €10 per hour and they’re working 12 hour days with no break. The employees sometimes sleep at the factory.

Good afternoon, thank you for taking us along on your fabulous trip through the always wonderful Harrods. The store never disappoints and always puts us in the Christmas mood. I have been teaching my little Granddaughter that Christmas is about far more than gifts and spending money and joining you for this tour and seeing the lights and windows is definitely a fun and free thing to do. I really like that pink and gold jacket on you. It suits the season perfectly. I have to agree with another commenter that the prices are getting out of hand but I realize it's Harrods and it's not a bargain store but wow, I'm a bit shocked at how much prices have gone up.
