Claire, I ran off a copy of the written pattern for the bell for our craft club. Three of us tried making the bell and all three of us found mistakes on it. They got real wavy and way too, too full! I came back and crocheted the bell with you and it worked out well. There's a difference on the written pattern for sure!

Thanks these are so cute. This pattern goes with some candle holders you have done. I did mine in red. Love red and it symbolises Christmas to me. Of course they will be touched as kids can't leave the tree and decos alone.

In Aussie, UK and NZ we call it by ply's. 4 ply is baby yarn and same as your fingering, 8ply is our everyday yarn :)

Thank you. I like to thread the ends thru and then using a pretty ribbon place a bell or bead or a couple onto it and tie the ribbon off to make a loop plus the nice dangly bead or bell to add charm. Not too good at explaining this but hope you get my idea. Make lovely decos and or presents especially if you make a set of them and box them up as an early Christmas present.

Love this pattern!. I changed one thing. after I pull the magic circle closed I do the hanging loop and hide the tail. Much less fiddley for me.

Hello, if you use 2-3 strands at once it will come out much bigger, you can try adding another round of increase, do 2 shells in one stitch and 1 shell into the next Hope this helps, let me know how you go, happy crochet
