Pretty good idea Paul. I saw that Pcoket83 made a very similar set of wooden knuckles but you were able to make it a true multi-tool.

Yes, switchable magnets. I made a video of them here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHi3oIJ6mMSKkM0 I bought them at a tool store in Ottawa called Busy Bee. I'm sure they are available at any tool store.

Paul while I sure do like your work you might want to remind your viewers that the mere possession of "brass knucks" on one's body, regardless of their material ( metal, wood, carbon, plastic, etc.) might be a criminal violation in one's state. I urge your readers to look this up before carrying same outside home. Google "brass knuckles law GA", etc. to find this law in any state. If you irritated some cop and these were found on you it might just ruin your whole day unless you like to sleep on a steel bunk;) JJM JD

Yeah one of my "faithful viewers" reported me and the authorities made me destroy my Christmas gift to my nephew. It's too bad, so now I have to really watch what goes into my videos, and not just the project but also what is around the room. One person made a nasty comment on the snowshoes hanging in my garage, on how he is offended by the type that I had. My videos suffer because of this but I have to keep everyone happy.

Being somewhat familiar with the 2d & 5th Amendments in our Bill of Rights I'm doubting the legality of anybody's demand that you destroy your weapon and if questioned about it I'd decline to talk to anybody....you know, "the right to own and bear arms & the right to remain silent. And if ANY cop comes to your door, without a warrant, do not let him/her into your house or shop or even talk to them "on advice of counsel".

Living in Canada the rules might be a bit different and I knew that this might come back to bite me. The police were very kind and sympathetic but they told me that they received a complaint that they had to follow up on. I showed it to them and they thought it was beautiful but they said technically it is illegal and I should not have it let alone give it away as a gift. So to keep the peace I cut it up in front of them at my band saw. They shook my hand and left. It was just a piece of wood after all and I made him something else. But you are correct in your original message, I will add some text to my video about checking local laws before building this. Thanks again for pointing this out to me.
