If you know your animals, you can trust them. I’ve never had a bull I didn’t trust. That is over 40 years of raising cattle. I have respect for them,as I heard you explain. Great channel.

As a notice; with this type of grinding; are you concerned the tree may grow back due to roots still deep in ground? Should poison be applied to top of stump to insure it dies and later rots?

Hello Evan. Some of the meat processors or butchers are not so honest in that they will actually resell your product while actually giving you a lesser quality product from someone else’s animal that was there for processing it is sad to say. This also holds true for places that cook hams in that they keep for resale the best parts of the ham and giving you the lesser cuts of meat. It really pays to do your homework.

For Christmas i asked for more signage to put up on the walls of my building after painting them bright white. So now I have altogether close to 300 of them. I like the ones about tractors and some of the crazy sayings. The old soda signs from back when I was a kid. I got some money to spend on Amazon too! And of course 2 days after Christmas is my birthday, so more gifts.

Glad you had a good Christmas break but also glad you're back. The side of the drive where you've been grinding the stumps would seem to be an ideal area for storing trailers and so on, easy access to store and also hook-up equipment when needed. Next project for a "rainy/snowy" week... Book-cases for Rebekah's library? She deserves them.

Evan, you don't know me from "Adam". Been a subscriber for a few years, never sent anything out to you. It has been fun to watch you learn about farming and fun to have you teach me some things I had forgotten or didn't know. Raised on a farm in the U.P. of Michigan, been a math and science teacher for years, and I miss/don't miss the days of farming. It has and will be a pleasure to follow your adventures for as long as time will allow. Happy New Year to you and yours. That which you do on your property is a fading trade/lifestyle I am sorry to say. Keep up the work and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

That stump grinder looks like the best I have ever seen. Our neighbor had fallen a couple of trees and then hired a guy to grind the stumps, and it took him about two weeks every day for about 8 hours per day. For a couple of trees.

Storing bar or tower sections I’ve found cantilever racking or vertical storage racking worked for us. Some consideration is the space needed, length of material, and the fact you normally need to bolt it down. Even some sort of narrow racking between vehicle bays works well. Have even used mobile pipe carts so they can be moved where needed or tucked out of the way as necessary.

Use rip rap stone to drain the moisture to below the frost line for heavily used cattle areas. Rip Rap is a cheap stone that you see the state using along the highway embankments. If that doesn't work, buy more rip rap and pound it down with a vibratory roller. It's gonna work!

Great to have you back Evan, I totally agree with you're taking a break in making you're 'video's. I have not done it but know that it takes a lot of work placing the camera's around for different shots. I picked up on that watching Thomas Johnson Furniture Restorations at least 10 yrs ago. and he admitted then it is a lot of work with camera setups and it was time consuming also. So I have never forgotten that watching any and all the YT stuff I do. I know and appreciate the effort that goes into them. thanks again and we'll see you next year! God speed. ECF
