You should set up a tree in your basement for all of the kids ornaments. I have “my” tree in our living room and we have a “keepsake” tree in our family room with all the other ornaments.

Bonnie, next year get a little tree for the basement that the kids can decorate! That way you can have your nice tree upstairs and all the kid ornaments downstairs! We did that as kids :)

Sandy Lepage I really don’t understand that. I would imagine that hiding their ornaments at the back of the tree makes them feel like she’s embarrassed of them, and a separate tree makes it seem like they aren’t good enough. I always loved seeing my homemade ornaments on our tree growing up. It made me feel like my parents were proud of them.

Logan Chugg same with my family, we had a kids tree with all of our handmade ones and litter trinket nicknack types and then the full main tree in the family room that all all of the important or fragile ones and we couldn't touch that 😂 I liked it that way!
