A young grizzly bear, undaunted by his mother's warnings of the coming winter, runs away from home only to be confronted by Old Man Winter himself.

Glad to see that this wonderful cartoon was watched by children from all over the world. It brings indeed so much childhood nostalgia. I used to watch it in France, Paris, in late 80's and early 90's. Magical. They never do such masterpiece anymore nowadays. Computer-assisted animation killed artful, hand-drawn, old-school cartoons.

I simply agree at the 2:45 mark. This was so sad and heartbreaking for me when he had been crying after the way he had been treated from the mama bear. However, it’s even more sad for me and it makes me cry so much because the very intense & emotional music (from the 3:08 to the 3:39 mark of the video) reminded me of how much regret I’ve been feeling and how sincerely sorry I was after hurting someone that I never meant to be that way (like my mom when her and I fight sometimes like from a lot of misunderstandings etc). And deserving a lot of forgiveness from my mom & dad (mostly my mom) etc.

It was 2003. My brother and I sat in front of an old 1990s television watching a vhs tape with no name on it other than the words "Winter Garden" written on the side of the box it came from. We watched this tape many times throughout the winter time that year. We vividly remember a singing pumpkinhead man dancing along the snow. When I was 7 my grandma's house burned down, taking the tape with it. We searched for this video for years and years. I am now 16 and he is 21. We finally found the tape we've been searching for for 10 years. Thank you.

Yep. In the early 1930s, he left the House of Mouse (for like the 2nd or 3rd time) and attempted to break off on his own. First with Flip The Frog (Really obscure cartoon character of the era that got overshadowed by the likes of Bosko the Talk Ink Kid, Betty Boop, Popeye, and of course, Mickey Mouse). Struggling to make anything that stuck (at the time), and one brief stint with Looney Tunes later, Ub returned to Disney in 1940 and remained with the studio once more until Walt's "death" in 1966

Seeing the mom beat the cub brings back the fear and sadness I felt watching this as a kid. Guys, *don't hit your kids!* It's abuse. Kids are either too young to understand why you're hitting them, or they're old enough to be reasoned with. So no matter what, hitting is unnecessary and harmful. If you wouldn't hit a dog, why would you think it's ok to hit a kid?
