Especially with all of the major buffs other Heavy Cav got in WHIII. They need something like Perfect Vigour and/or a higher Speed / Charge bonus to compensate for their lack of Armor. Maybe even throw in a slight increase to Melee Defence to give them a bit more survival if they get stuck in combat.

Christmas came early for the Wood Elves, one thing I really like is that they have some good viable lord choices. Its not just Sisters auto pick for every battle, the Spellsingers, Ancient Treeman, I think even Orion are solid picks.

You could really see how taxed both players' micro was. All sorts of cool plays (burning head placement vs. strategically savvy use of the woods) made this super cool to watch!

Nice to see some underutilized pieces seeing play. Though I do think wood elves have really really fallen behind in the power creep. Wild riders are really expensive on top of losing their relative speed advantage compared to other basic cavalry units. All of their infantry is vulnerable to burning head and good chunk of their roster is vulnerable to magic damage. Great stag knights and their archers perform well, but everything else feels so situational that you don't want to build your start around them. I wish zoats performed better at their price point or they had a high armor elite infantry option so their strategic options wouldn't be so narrowed down.

chaos knights are a trap against wood elfs they seem good but get dumpsterd by stag knights+healing and stag knights are decently faster so its hard to make an argument for good in the right situation on top of that stag knights are also really good vs chaos infantry so if you bring chaos knights the stag knights are essentially just anti everything you have.

Couldn't disagree more. Tzeentch Knights trade insanely well into Stag Knights who are pretty easy to drag down with how squishy they are. Much easier to punish the WE than WoC in this context.

It is still played, but many streamers moved to covering Dom because they don't have to enforce arbitrary sets of player rules. If you're looking for people who still do land battle, Human boy runs a channel with plenty of content and tournaments that focus land battles.
