Usually after the first weekend in December people are looking for gifts not decorations. Outdoor shows are usually not as good as indoor events. Network with other vendors to find the best shows in your area most shows fill up months in advance

Generally the arrival time event organizers give you is the "you can come this early but not before this" time. Some of them will want you set up at least a half hour before the event starts because people do shop early, especially if it's outdoor. The date isn't the issue, it's the turnout. Compare all the other factors, day, weather, attendance, marketing, hours, other markets/events in town? Not just your own stuff, because you clearly have high quality, lovely, handmade goods.

Oh yay! A new Mae Crochet video! ☺️congrats on a successful market! I saw your reel about the chalk and CRINGE!😮 I was notified on behalf of parents everywhere. First, ngl, I raised FOUR sons and NOT ONCE did something like that occur. NOT. ONCE. They DID NOT TOUCH. Second, though, if it had happened, I would have purchased the item no question. Grrrr. Regardless. YOU were classy and kind. 🧡 xx

Aww thank you!💕💕 yeahh I didn’t want to be that person to make her buy it, but it definitely would’ve been nice for her to offer

hey Hunter! I feel like our small towns have a similar vibe 😊 I can't imagine doing an outdoor show in the fall/winter though 🥶 I also have trouble selling seasonal items, which is why i stopped making them LOL

Aww that’s so cool!! I was so worried about the outdoor show, but it definitely wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been! Good to know, maybe I need to give up on them😂😂
