We just find them at the garden centres or farmers markets, the smooth ones are getting hard to find. I think you have a better chance of getting them the further south you live.

@Vsmithpots Thanks! I just ordered some gourds seeds to plant next summer. I used to paint gourd birdhouse many moons ago. 😀 The Christmas ornaments is a new twist, and might be fun. Thanks for the inspiration. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

I checked in to growing them but the growing season is too short here.
