Love mightily your process of collage. I will unabashedly steal your idea and thereby find some personal creativity and peacefulness. Ever many Thankx! Oh and Dr W your unpack of melody as an absolutely context dependent phenomenon really hit the bullseye for me. I ‘knew this already’ but your exposé here adds a lot to my ‘oh I already know that’. Ever Many Thankx !! 🙏🏽🪷☮️

Quick off topic. Was looking at Yamahas a few minutes ago. Memory from the 70s. What also made the Yamaha superior over a Bundy was the case was flat with a lot of area. You could use it as a desk on the school bus and do most of your homework to and from school. :D

Thank you Dr Wally for the duet- I too like a dry martini. From the lesson, I appreciate “context is everything “ and the need to have the key centre (?) I your mind to better improvise. How does one develop an ear for identifying a key retaining it despite what is being played. ( I once attended a concert of JS Bach’s preludes and fugues and to me it was different tunes all in the same key).

I tongue putting my tongue to the roof of my mouth and not on the reed and I've been doing this for about 5 years with very consistent playing and was wondering if I should learn it the proper way as it sounds better and opens way many doors or if I should stick with my way?
