AS A TEENAGER, I USED TO DECORATE OUR HOUSE AND EVEN PAINT AND WHITEWASH THE WALLS, DOORS, WINDOWS AND ENJOYED MAKING THE CRIB. AS YEARS PASSED BY, WHEN I SAW AND EXPERIENCED SO MUCH OF BIAS AND HAUGHTINESS IN THE CHURCH AND IN OUR COMMUNITIES, MY HEART SANK AND THE MERRYMAKING ENDED. I NO MORE SEE ANY MEANING IN CELEBRATING SO MUCH JOY WITH CAKES, SUMPTUOUS FOOD AND MEETING/GREETING SMILE AFTER SMILE - WHICH FIZZLES OUT WITHIN A DAY OR WITHIN 8 - AND BEING BACK WHERE WE WERE - COOPED UP IN SQUARE ONE. LOVE, JOY, PEACE, KINDNESS, SHARING, TOGETHERNESS THAT ENDS - CANNOT BE TRUE OR REAL IN ANY SENSE OF THE WORD...........

The message of x'mas has been conveyed as an integration of life for a life in fullness, rather than one for sheer merry making. Yes, it is not material affluence that makes a life in fullness, it is accepting the option of material wants with a vision to share the wants of those deprived, that gives us a life in fullness.A biblical lesson to be with us always. Thanks for the reminder to be human. ❤❤❤♥️♥️
