🌱 By the time this song was released, various musicians around the world had released Christmas songs. However, in Japan, Mr. Tatsuro Yamashita's "Christmas Eve" was a rush. "Christmas Eve" is really a masterpiece. As of the end of 2020, it has been ranked in the Oricon Ranking 100th place for weekly singles for 35 consecutive years. In 2016, the record of ranking in for 30 consecutive years was officially certified as the Guinness World Records. It is a record that has never been seen before. Moreover, the Christmas season of 2020 is the 15th place. (I'm even more surprised that it's not the 99th place.) As Mr. Patrick knows, a huge number of good songs are released one after another almost every year. Among them, it is too amazing to be ranked in for 35 consecutive years. JR has titled "X'mas Express" and created a commercial for a special day where lovers who are far away can meet again. Due to the story of the commercial, many couples in long-distance relationships imitated the commercial. I really was feeling nostalgic. Some fans still want this commercial to resume. Of course, I hope that Mr. Yamashita's song "Christmas Eve" will be resumed with the theme song. After confirming it again, this song was released 38 years ago and was appointed to the JR commercial six years later. Over the next few years, this boom continued. Every time the commercial changed, a new heroine appeared, and the actresses became more and more popular. 3:43 of your reaction video. The heroine of the commercial is Ms. Takami Yoshimoto. The man she bumped into when she came out of her photo box was Mr. Tatsuro Yamashita. Mr. Yamashita is making a cameo appearance! He wrote this song around 1981 for his wife Mrs. Takeuchi's album. However, it seems that Mr. Yamashita himself decided to sing because Mrs. Takeuchi did not use this song. (If I were Mrs. Takeuchi, I might have fallen into a little regrettable later. Hehehe.) Mr. Yamashita has been cherishing live concerts until now. He thinks "Christmas Eve" is his biggest hit, and he still always sings "Christmas Eve" at live concerts. "I will continue to do" Christmas Eve "for those who came for the first time today and those who can only come this time. I will not stop for the rest of my life," Mr. Yamashita professes. I think Tatsuro-san himself said that most Japanese call up memories of happy christmas when they listen to this song because JR adopted it for their commercials in the end of the 80s even though it says ‘You’ll never come to me. I’m alone on Christmas Eve…’!
