It is such a massive shift too. It isn't like the park wasn't completely decorated for Harvest Festival. Subjectively to us, we feel like the decorations for Harvest Fest is the second most extensive behind only Christmas. SDC is incredible!!!

Thank you for watching!!! Dolly is one of the shows where there isn't really a bad seat. It is like a bowl that surrounds the performance area. So if you like to be close to action, get closer seats. If you like to take it all in from more of a distance, get seats that are farther back. The food is great at all of the seats :). Show time is just whatever fits into your schedule the best. They usually have an earlier show than other shows offer, so if you want to take in multiple shows in a day or admire lights at night, pick the earlier show. If you are wanting to do things outdoors while it is warmer, pick the evening show. For us personally, we like to do the afternoon show and get as close to the front as possible because we have little ones that might have their view slightly blocked if taller people are sitting in front of them. It also lets us get our kids to bed earlier.

It honestly depends on the types of activities that you are looking for. If you do Disney, you need to do homework on how to spend your time at Disney because of the vastness that comes with going there. We were recently in Orlando, but went to Universal Studios this time. We did go to Disney Springs and it was cool, but a far cry from Disney proper. Disney takes a lot of planning because it has so many parks that are their own price and take up a lot of time. We would advise using a Disney Trip Planner or agency for that one. In the future we plan on heading to Disney for 5 days and staying on property the entire time. We will be taking the water taxis to the different areas and trying to spend 1 day on each park that we visit. We are planning on doing Disney once with our daughters and doing it relatively big for our standards. After that one time, we may not go back due to costs and our kids getting older. Branson on the other hand is going to give a much more conservative trip. By that we mean during the Christmas season, almost everywhere is still themed around Christian values instead of mainstream media. The activities for families to do is going to be much more broad than at Disney. Disney for the most part is going to be themed for younger kids. Branson has things to do for all ages. Branson is also more apt to evolve/change from one visit to the next especially if you are visiting during different times of the year. Most of Branson is different during the Christmas season than it is during the summer season etc. Branson will be the cheaper option too unless you are wanting to spend a lot of money, because there are places in Branson that are upscaled as well. At Silver Dollar City, you can purchase a season pass for cheaper than you can go to one of the Disney parks for one day. Disney also charges for parking etc, while SDC does not. If you are needing advice on some things to do with kids in Branson, we have quite a few videos showing what is here for younger kids to do. We are going to keep adding to that list as well as we primarily focus on showcasing activities that our 4 and 6 year old daughters enjoy. We would also recommend giving All Access Branson a call to see if they can help you plan out what you want to do. Too Long Didn't Read Version: Both places are great for kids. It just depends on the types of activities that you are looking for and your budget. We obviously love Branson, but we also have been planning a trip to Disney since our 4 year old was born. For us on our budget, we have to save up for the memory of Disney to become a reality and we are viewing it as more of a one shot experience for us.
