I love the free and cheap!! One added feature of the Table Rock Lakeshore Trail is that it has easy access to the lake in many places, so when it's hot out you can always just go jump in the lake.😅

Honestly, in the last couple of years that time has been really busy. Schools seem to be starting later in August than they used to and families are trying to take one last trip together before the school year begins. 10 years ago, that time was much less busy. Now early June is less busy and early August is more busy.

@@BransonFamVlog Then why does it seem like many attractions and businesses close earlier in the evening, offer less show times, and provide less availability in August than in June? This seems counter productive to the business if what you are saying is true.

@@jamiem.362 Because it is still new. Like I said, it has only happened in the last couple of years. The state of Missouri pushed back the start date for all public schools in the entire state. By pushing back the start date, they also extended the school year into late May or early June. Most schools then do 4 weeks of summer school. Ergo.... their summer break goes from the end of June until August 22nd or later. So.... that means the families that want to take a trip or shop right before school start show up the first two weeks of August. The shows and businesses rely on people from other countries to work for them in a lot of places. The international people that come here are still going back at the end of July to early August. Also, many college students are returning to school and aren't working any more. The issue isn't if there is a lot of people in Branson.... the issue becomes the workers are leaving and Branson hasn't had enough time to adjust to the new model yet. I have been here for 18 years. Only the last 2 this will make 3 years, has this happened. Most businesses do not plan around what the Missouri Public School system does. So 2 years is not enough to prove that they need to switch what they have done for the last 50 years. I know for a fact that early June was absolutely dead for Branson standards. So my very educated guess is that the busy season pushes back into the first two weeks of August. It won't be as busy as the 4th of July, but it will be way busier than early June was.

@@jamiem.362 No problem. I would think the attractions would be less busy than mid July. Shopping would probably be close to the same or worse. Lots and lots of people go back to school shopping during an extended weekend in August. There is also a tax free weekend at most locations for back to school shopping that people from all over flock to.

Thanks for the video and suggestions. Only item I would add is Busiek State Forest. North of Branson but great for hiking. Creation museum is free, but not scientifically accurate and pushes inaccurate information, so not a great place for kids. Appreciate your videos.

We made a few videos of things to do in the Fall from 2022. There will be a few things that will be changing or brand new and we will try to post things as they come up in the Fall of 2023. We also have a ton of general suggestions for things to do in Branson. It depends on your guys budget and interests. What is super fun to us with small children might be awful for you and your family for instance. We would be happy to give you suggestions, but we would prefer to tailor them more to you guys. How many people are in your family that would be visiting? What are the ages? What do you generally find fun or interesting? Another big suggestion that we could give is to call All Access Branson. They can help plan out the vacation and find you better prices than just about anywhere else that doesn't require you to visit a timeshare presentation.

@@presidentpoohbear6659 The Branson Landing is such a great place for family time! As long as the weather isn't awful, the fountain show should still be going as usual. One thing that we would suggest is to keep an eye on the Branson Landing Facebook page, because they do sometimes run maintenance on the fountain between busy tourist seasons, and they post those maintenance days on the FB page. How many people do you have in your group? Just wondering so we can try to give recommendations to stay within budget.

@@presidentpoohbear6659 If it is in the budget, Silver Dollar City is probably the one thing that people say is a can't miss. There are obviously a lot of shows that will be running. During that time, tickets might be a little easier to find on sale than during the summer months. For music, The Haygoods are a good one to see for an 11 year old boy. The magicians in Branson are all pretty good. You can't go wrong with any of them, but Reza is the most modern show in our opinion. The best production show in Branson currently is Queen Esther in our opinion, but budget speaking, it would be harder to fit in if you also go to SDC. Shepherd of the Hills offers a lot of fun activities for kids and adults alike. Fritz's is another great one for someone his age. Would get more expensive if you guys did all of the activities with him. Depending on activities that you all like, Beyond the Lens, is good, or 1984 arcade is great bang for your buck at $10/day. Branson's Wild World we really enjoy for the amount of money that is spent. We have videos that cover a lot of these places, but at the end of the day, what really matters is you guys getting the experience that you want. It is a great town to make a lot of family memories in.

Outside of Timeshares, we recommend using The Branson Travel Office, Branson 2 for 1 (The Purple Building), or All Access Branson.
