Chanukah Yochanan (John) 10:22-24 חָגְגוּ בִּירוּשָׁלַיִם אֶת חַג הַחֲנֻכָּה. חֺרֶף הָיָה. כַּאֲשֶׁר הִתְהַלֵּךְ יֵשׁוּעַ בְּבֵית הַמִּקְדָּשׁ בְּאוּלָם שְׁלֹמֺה And he celebrated in Yerushalayim the feast of dedication (chanukah). It was winter and Yeshua walked in the corridors of Sh'lomoh (Solomon) at Beit HaMikdash (Temple). Also, the bible gives us the tips when Yeshua really born, and it is not in December. Sadly, people don't read bible to understand a child with his parents couldn't live running high distances from Hordos in winter (yeah, December is winter in Israel).

@ Yes, but it is the Gentile time of year when we celebrate our Savior. Also, Jesus was born in Bethlehem Ephrathah which was about two miles south of the northern Bethlehem. Micah 5:2, prophesied this seven hundred years before His birth. Happy Chanukah, my friend! I know the Jewish calendar is 360 days in a year (I used to keep one but I don’t have one this year), but us Gentiles who are true believers are grafted into the vine. The season of Christmas is for Him and not for the pagan rituals of trees and Santa, but whether Jew or Gentile, the Day will come when there will be neither as we will all be one with Him. Again, Happy Chanukah 🕎

@@JRTIGER07 The Romans, Greeks, Slavs, Norse all had solstice practices. It did not originate with Constantine. If you read history you’ll learn things. Christmas practices defined by one person or other, what they each generally refer to as ‘pagan’ typically pinpoint one thing, but it goes much, much further back than Constantine. People who don’t see the need to have Jesus as the focus (his birthdate is not our Christmas time) have their pagan rituals. They can be as benign as kissing under a mistletoe, burning the Yule log (the Norse practice), lighting the Christmas tree (Germanic roots). Again, history will tell you of the various practices from Saturnalia to solstice, from the Roman’s, Greeks, Norse, etc etc. Christians adopted and have adapted the season. Many have no decorations, don’t put up trees and lights, and if gifts are exchanged they are faith based. I suggest that you read up on pagan practices before you put one man’s name on this season or any other. There are multitudes. My reason is to celebrate the birth of our Savior and the gift of salvation and eternal life. It’s not the correct date of His birth but that’s what adaption is about. Many seasons are pagan, for example the Easter bunny and coloring eggs, celebrating the new growth of the year’s gardens and other harvests A And of course the Day of the Dead really takes a dark twist. I suppose Constantine should have made corrections there, yes?
