That's my question. Why do some Christians care what Jews do? There are over a Billion Christians in the world (which is just fine by me), and only - perhaps -- 15 million Jews left. 6 ,million of us were killed in the Holocaust, we are a very small remnant of what we were. The First Temple (Temple of Solomon - an upgrade of the Tabernacle of David) was built at Mt Zion area where Gihon Springs is. At that time, the rocky peak at Mt Moriah was the highest point, and this was where they thresh their harvest (the threshing floor). There was no 35 acre raised (50 ft) and walled ground then as you see today (as Haram as Sharif). It was built later. Nebuchadnezzar destroyed the First Temple on 9th Av (Tisha B'Av), i.e. 9th day of the 11th month (9-11). The Second Temple was started by Cyrus the Great (Book of Ezra) and completed by Darius I (Book of Haggai), at the same very site as the First Temple. Titus razed it to the ground (also on 9th of Av) leaving no trace of the temple (Matthew 24:1-2). The 35 acre walled rectangular area in the raised ground was Fort Antonia then. Today it is the Haram as Sharif recognized by UNESCO as a Muslim heritage site. Thank you Sir!

And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare. The solution will be a problem that trips those who cannot see it. The trap is pride thinking that one can save themselves through works. Once ensnared by pride they are trapped and can’t escape until someone comes to show them how the trap works so that they can be rescued. Blinded by pride we trip and fall into the trap. When our eyes are opened through humility we see what we are tripping over is the foundation for our relationship with God. God resists the proud and we stumble upon what God has placed there to humble us.
