Oh they look delicious Cheryl! I’ve always wanted to make rocky road but never got around to it. You’ve inspired me. Love the donut shape. Your kitchen looks beautifully festive 🎄and a great thumbnail pic 👍💚 Yes please do a regular cooking segment!

They are delicious Sue. Rocky Road is super easy but we do prefer the inclusion of the Marie or milk biscuit and a few nuts. The doughnut shape makes them more festive and a lovely sizable gift. These delights are relatively quick and super easy and not expensive to make. I thought you would appreciate the thumbnail! We are happy to have a regular cooking segment, but we need a few more subscribers/viewers to make the time and cost, more effective. So, perhaps for now, we will have festive cooking segments, but will wait until the channel is more successful before we make them a regular feature. (it will spur us on to promote the channel!) Thank you again for watching Sue. Happy reading, safe travels and good eating, Cheryl (ABT)

This was a lovely treat on a lazy Sunday morning. 😃 I love that Arthur stopped by in the hopes of something falling on the floor 🐶. I didn't know you called candy canes Santa's hook over there,I love that. The treats look delicious, not complicated and those rocky road donuts really look like Christmas wreaths 🥰 Thank you for festive Christmas cooking and baking, I thoroughly enjoyed it both on Friday and today 🎄🎅🤶🌲😍

Wonderful to hear, Anne! Love the fact that you enjoyed a lazy Sunday morning and you included the channel in that luxury and you enjoyed Friday's edition too! We will think a little more logistically on the cooking segments and how they may or may not be a regular feature and with accessible recipes, not too complicated. Arthur is a regular hoover in the kitchen, forever searching for dropped morsels. He ate the dropped ice-cream too! Quick as a flash, he was. Hope to 'see' you on Monday for our regular book recommendations. Happy reading, safe travels, successful baking and good eating. Cheryl (ABT) and Arthur!

Thank you Sarah! We have lots of treats and recipes to share over time. Hopefully if the segment is successful enough, we can have this as a regular feature. Yes, we do have a lovely outlook from our kitchen window which has been created, over time and with a bit of hard work, but it has been worth it. We hope you are well and enjoy the channel over the Christmas period. Take care, happy reading, safe travels, and good eating. Cheryl (ABT)

Delicious Cheryl. I’ll make the rocky road with biscuits and pistachios and replace the candy canes in the delight with raspberry lollies. Thank you for the ideas yum

Hi Jo, Yes, I usually use Marie or Milk biscuits and cashews for the Rocky Road. This is such an easy, and not a real expense to make. They make a lovely gift too and they are so Christmas-y. The White Chocolate delight would be lovely with raspberry sweets too and also festive, although the Santa hooks/candy canes are super festive, I think, but either would be lovely as a gift or just to eat whilst reading a Christmas novel! Hope to see you tomorrow at the book recommendation and I also hope you are having a lovely weekend. Take care, Cheryl (ABT)

Hi Cheryl - I saved this video to watch in the evening with a friend who called in for Christmas drinks. We enjoyed your hard work over our cocktails! Everything looks beautiful and very festive chez ABT HQ. Thanks for the great video.

Ohh Peter! I am so happy to have been your entertainment! Whilst I was slaving away, you were having cocktails! That is one of the funniest things! Is it as hot up your way as it is here? I was melting whilst working on these two videos. It is so incredibly hot here. We are hoping for a cool Christmas, a long shot, but we can hope. I am just pleased that you enjoyed the video and I hope your friend did too. Thank you for the compliments also. I always appreciate hearing from you with your words of encouragement and appreciation. See in next video, Happy reading, safe travels and good eating. Cheryl and all the 'team at ABT.

@AustralianBookTravels-ii8iy It's not as warm in Sydney as you are but the high humidity is a killer. I much prefer the dry heat. Gosh I hope you and yours are safe from the heat and potential fires. My new favourite cocktail is one I gleaned last winter from Hadley's Oriental Hotel in Hobart. Delicious but lethal!

@@pjenkins8206 It is now 740pm and we are having a difficult time breathing. The heat is exhausting and relentless. Arthur and Rune are truly disliking it. They are not sure what to do with themselves. Even the fans are not giving any of us any relief. Still, we are safe and have delicious food, cool drinks and one another and books. This is all we need. Ohhh, and pray tell, what was the name of this lethal cocktail?
